Wow – did that title make your heart race a little?!  It did to mine!

Hello Stamping Friends – you probably had about given up me, hadn't you?  Well, I don't blame you – I've been away for far too long, and I'm sorry for that!  It has been a busy time lately, with preparing for craft fairs, classes and of course family goings-on.  All good, though!

You may remember recently that Stampin' Up! was offering a special for new demonstrators to sign up; well, I'm thrilled to announce that 3 new members have joined my team!  I hope you'll join me in welcoming Jean Braun, Carri McMullen and Debbie Pollastretti to my team, and to the Stampin' Up! family 🙂  I know that they'll enjoy all the perks and benefits of being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, and I'll do my best to help them make the most out of their business, and have fun!

So – back to that post title – 50 Days 'til Christmas!  How are your plans coming along?  Are you making your own cards to mail out this year (of course you are!); have you started your shopping?  Well you know that I've got you covered if you need a boost with making your cards – I still have room in my Christmas Stamp a Stack on Nov. 23rd; and there are lots of options in the Catalogue for gift wrapping, boxes, ribbons; and of course you could choose a stamp set and an ink pad to give to a favourite someone!

Not sure what to buy?  Contact me about purchasing a Gift Certificate in a denomination of your choosing; you purchase it from me, and the recipient can redeem it through me at any time they find the perfect item in one of the Stampin' Up! Catalogues, or special sales events.  Perhaps you're hoping for something special for yourself?  No problem!!  Give your wish list either to me or your gift-giver; give them my name & phone number, and I'll take care of the rest!  I'll even do some nice gift-wrapping, before delivery 🙂   Easy-peasy, just how the guys like their Christmas shopping! (mine, anyway – he likes to receive an itemized list, including exactly where each item can be purchased! )

Would you like to see some cards I've been working on – what's been keeping me away from the computer?  Okay, okay!!  I haven't decided which ones will be included in the Christmas Stamp-a-Stack yet, so I hope you're not worried about having a surprise spoiled.

I've been loving the new 'Joyful Christmas' set (item #131802 $27.95 wm/#131805 $20.95 cm) – the large poinsettia image is just gorgeous, and can be stamped in so many different ways.

This one is very traditional, done in red and white.  The supplies used are: Joyful Christmas stamp set; Whisper White Craft Ink Pad (#101731 $9.25); White Embossing Powder (#109132 $5.95); Pretty Prink Embossing Folder (#132175 $9.95); 5/8" Organza Ribbon in Whisper White (#114319 $8.25); Cherry Cobbler card stock, Vellum card stock (#101856 $7.95); Paper Snips and Dimensionals.  You'll notice in each of the cards, I stamped the poinsettia twice; first cutting out the whole flower, then cutting out only the smaller inside petals, and layering them together for added dimension.

I know blues are 'non- traditional', but they're very on trend right now – plus I just love, love, love the Winter Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper (#132341 $15.95).

Supplies used for this card are: Joyful Christmas stamp set; Whisper White and Island Indigo card stock; Vellum card stock (#101856 $7.95); Winter Frost Specialty DSP; Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder (#132174 $9.95); Pool Party & Island Indigo ribbon (retired); sentiment from Greetings of the Season stamp set (#128030 $19.95 wm/#128033 $14.95 cm).

This is one of my favourites; non traditional, yet very understated.  I saw a similar one on Pinterest, and thought "I could do that with Stampin' Up! products!"

On a Crumb Cake card stock base, I stamped the largest snowflake from the 'Festive Flurry' stamp set (#131778 $48.95wm/#131781 $35.96 cm) in Whisper White Craft Ink (#101731 $9.25), then looped some (retired) twine and adhered it to the base with dimensionals.  After stamping the poinsettia image twice onto Vellum card stock (#101856 $7.95), I first cut out the whole flower, then cut out only the centre of the 2nd flower, and layered them together with dimensionals.  I then layered the poinsettia on top of the twine with dimensionals, and stamped the sentiment from Greetings of the Season stamp set (#128030 $19.95 wm/#128033 $14.95 cm) also in Whisper White Craft Ink.  The centre of the flower and the card is then embellished with Pearls (#119247 $8.50) for a little subtle 'bling'.

I can't wait to play some more with this stamp set – I haven't even used the sentiments from it, yet!

Well, I think that's it for tonight!  I promise to be back before the end of the week; more stamping to be done, and fun to be had 🙂

Until then – Happy Stamping!

I've always liked to create things, but I'm not a great artist, or sculptor, or any type of 'traditional' artist - but I love to create! I love the satisfaction of a completed project. Whether a card, painting or other project - as long as it can create a smile, evoke a feeling, or some type of reaction in the recipient. I hope you will enjoy sharing my creations, and occasional ramblings; I'd enjoy having you create with me! :)

I love to read what you have to say! Thanks for commenting ;)
