Did the title of this post get a song running through your head? 🙂  I can’t help it – I belong to the generation who always thinks of Julie Andrews and the movie Sound of Music whenever I hear the phrase ‘a few of my favourite things..’!

Favourite things are good though, right?  Well, I have a LOT of favourite things in the new Holiday catalogue!  Mainly – bundles!  Bundles of bundles!!  I don’t think it’s a generational thing to be into saving money, and that’s what purchasing the bundles offered in the catalogue will do for you.  Whenever you purchase a bundle (either a stamp set and coordinating punch, or stamp set and coordinating framelits/thinlits) you save 15% OFF the retail combined price.  15%!   That’ll buy you that extra pack of rhinestones you wanted! 😉

Being a demonstrator means that I was able to preorder some of the great new products last month, and have had time to ‘play’.  Stampin’ Up! has done a great job putting these bundles together, and not only that – they’ve made some great videos on how to use them!

So I thought I’d take some time to list some of my favourite bundles – and link you up with Stampin’ Up!’s videos, too.

First off is the Festive Fireplace bundle – as soon as I saw this in the catalogue, I knew it would be mine!

SU bundle festive fireplaceThis bundle combines the Festive Fireplace stamp set, with 13 stamps, and the Festive Fireside Framelits Dies, which contains 9 dies.  At a bundled price of $48.25 for all those pieces, that’s good value for your money!  This set does contain images that are specific to Christmas, like the stockings and candy cane, but the rest can be used all year long.  Lots of people have wreaths up all year, and garland on the fireplace could be for fall or spring, if you add in some leaves or small flowers.  And the kitty-cat – well, let’s just say that was a big selling point for me! 🙂  It could only be better if there were a dog to lay down in front of the fireplace – like mine does 🙂

The next bundle that immediately caught my eye is called the Happy Scenes bundle – containing the Hearth & Home Thinlits Dies (2 dies) and the Happy Scenes stamp set (16 stamps).  This bundle is priced well at $43.25, and again, it can be used for multiple seasons and occasions.

SU bundle happy scenes

You can see that you can use the stamp set for all four season, and the holidays including Christmas, Hallowe’en, and Thanksgiving.  Using them with the Hearth & Home Thinlits Dies, you can create amazing scenes, as if you’re looking out your window to a place you’ve created.  Also, by using other stamp sets, you could switch the view around, and have it look like someone is looking inside your home, from outside.  Place a Christmas tree and presents by using the Peaceful Pines set, or use the penguin from Snow Place & make your own fun, whimsical scene.

Here is the Stampin’ Up! video to show you how you can use this bundle, as well as the Festive Fireplace bundle:

Finally, for this post, I’m going to share with you the Jingle All the Way bundle; one that I find very unique, and fun to use:

SU bundle jingle all the wayThis bundle combines the Jingle All the Way stamp set with 13 stamps, and the 3 Sleigh Ride Edgelits Dies.  These edgelit dies let you create many variable layers and themes for your cards – you practically don’t need to add a stamp to front of your card!  But you’ll want to, because the gently curved sentiment stamps fit perfectly with the curving hills you create with the dies.

Here is Stampin’ Up!s video on this bundle:

So I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing a *few* of my favourite bundles from the new Holiday catalogue.  I have a lot more favourites, but I’ll save them for another time!

Until next time – happy stamping!

I've always liked to create things, but I'm not a great artist, or sculptor, or any type of 'traditional' artist - but I love to create! I love the satisfaction of a completed project. Whether a card, painting or other project - as long as it can create a smile, evoke a feeling, or some type of reaction in the recipient. I hope you will enjoy sharing my creations, and occasional ramblings; I'd enjoy having you create with me! :)

I love to read what you have to say! Thanks for commenting ;)
