Oh my – a new challenge!!
A dear friend of mine, Buffy Cooper, is a design team member over at Craft Project Central. Every month, each design team member creates fabulous projects, and you can get the tutorials & templates for ALL of the projects, just by subscribing – either for that month, or several months, etc.
Well, Buffy let me know that right now, Craft Project Central is having a card sketch challenge!! *squee!* You know how I’m lovin’ these challenges! Even better – for every 10 cards submitted, they will choose 1 person to win a 1 month FREE subscription to Craft Project Central! *double squee!* So, if you want to join in – the more the merrier (and more prizes, too! 🙂 )
Here is the sketch for this challenge:
And this is my interpretation on the sketch:
I decided to go with a different shape – so I used the Hearts Framelits Dies, and stamped a sentiment from the Cheers to Love stamp set (#135371 wm/#135374 cm). I stamped in the Metallic Gold Encore ink, and then heat embossed it in Gold embossing powder. Using the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Dies, I cut the heart borders out of Brushed Gold cardstock, and layered Confetti Celebration Designer Series Paper over that. For the card base, I chose Bermuda Bay cardstock, as it is one of the colours in the Confetti Celebration DSP. Of course, I had all the little gold hearts left over from the border die, so I added some to the card front 🙂
If you’ve been enjoying seeing my card submissions for these challenges, I like to challenge YOU to enter your own card! You don’t have to be a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator to enter – and it’s all in good fun!
I hope you’ll head over to the Craft Project Central page, and have a look at the cards the design team made for this sketch challenge – and maybe enter yourself!
Until next time, Happy Stamping!
Love this card, Deborah! Great take on the sketch!! Thanks for playing along.
