A Work in Progress

Hello stamping friend! I’m afraid that I don’t  have a new project to share with you today. It’s not that I haven’t been creating – in fact, I’ve been spending a lot of time doing just that! However, it’s all a work in progress.

As I’ve mentioned before, this Sunday is my Sale-A-Bration Celebration, to kick off of the start of the new Occasions catalogue, and Sale-A-Bration. So, while I do have lots of new projects, I’m kinda keeping them ‘under wraps’ until my guests see them on Sunday! 🙂

This picture I took a few days ago of my work table; also known as my dining room table!

A Work in Progress

As you can see, it’s in pretty good shape! I had recently cleared it up, so that I’d have some more room to work. For Christmas, my boys had bought me a special holder for my Stampin’ Blends markers, and I had just finished putting them away.  As much as I love this case, wouldn’t it be great if Stampin’ Up! came out with one of their own? I have a weak spot for SU! branded merchandise! It looks cool, and helps people identify the products I use and sell!

Once I had my Stampin’ Blends all organized, I stamped a bunch of images from the Bird Banter stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, and took them & my Blends to the couch, to watch tv and do some colouring!

A Work in Progress

I’m not the only one who does this, right? Because I’m pretty sure I’m not the only person who stamps into the night…. As you can see, some of the birds I’d already cut out. Yes – by hand, with my Paper Snips!

I really enjoyed colouring these images with the Blends markers; they colour so smoothly, without leaving streaks and blend very well. Plus, these birds are just so cute!

If you love colouring – or especially if you don’t, but you want your colouring to look good – I highly recommend these markers! They’re high quality, dual tip alcohol markers, and they come in Stampin’ Up! colours. That means that  you can easily coordinate your images with your project. They can be purchased individually, in pairs, or in a whole set. You’ll also want to get the Color Lifter, for creating highlights and removing colour. CLICK HERE to see them in my online store.

So, you’ll just have to either attend my Celebration this Sunday, or come back on Monday to see the projects, the make & takes, and the fun we have!

If you’d like to order, click on the images below, or my signature, to go to my online store.

I've always liked to create things, but I'm not a great artist, or sculptor, or any type of 'traditional' artist - but I love to create! I love the satisfaction of a completed project. Whether a card, painting or other project - as long as it can create a smile, evoke a feeling, or some type of reaction in the recipient. I hope you will enjoy sharing my creations, and occasional ramblings; I'd enjoy having you create with me! :)

  1. Good luck on you Sale-a-bration Celebration! I hope you have a blast. PS: Your stamp room looks way too neat! I wouldn’t dare photograph mine!

    1. Thanks for the good wishes, Susan! I hope everyone has fun on Sunday, too 🙂 By the way – my table hardly ever looks this clean; I had just cleared it off to make room for using a new set, and the Blends!

I love to read what you have to say! Thanks for commenting ;)
