Accented Blooms

There are so many new stamp sets in the new catalogue, it’s hard to know where to start! So I thought I’d start with the letter ‘A’ – for Accented Blooms!

If you love to colour, you’ll love this set. Of course you can leave it uncoloured as well – whatever you prefer. It coordinates with the Tailored Tag Punch, which carried over from the last catalogue.

ACCENTED BLOOMS

I can share these cards, now that my customers have received their happy mail! I included a card in each of my catalogue mail outs this year. I don’t usually mail out catalogues; I prefer to have a kick off party and hand them out, but this year, due to illness, I had to use the mail.

Accented Blooms

Colouring in the flowers gave me the perfect opportunity to show off some of our new colours, and some of the new In Colors!

DETAILS

Using the Note Cards & Envelopes meant not a lot of added bulk to my package. And using the Stamparatus to stamp the images and sentiment made the stamping happen very easily & quickly! But I’m going to share that part of the story for another post! Today I’ll focus on the colours.

For the yellow flowers, use the new Pineapple Punch Stampin’ Write Marker. You can get the whole set of new In Color markers in a package – 1 each of the 5 colours for only $20.  The purple colour is the new Highland Heather ink pad; use it with a Blender Pen to pick up ink from the lid, and colour & shade the flower. For the pink, again use a Blender Pen with the Lovely Lipstick ink pad. I wanted to keep it lighter, so picked up only a little ink at a time, and blended it well.  The larger orange-ish flower is coloured with the Mango Melody ink pad and Blender pen; the smaller pink/orange flower is Grapefruit Grove and Blender Pen.  You’ll want the whole set of 5 new In Color ink pads – get them in a pack for 10% off!

Coordinate your sentiment colours with the flower colours; Highland Heather, Lovely Lipstick and Grapefruit Grove. Use the Tailored Tag punch to punch them out, then attached them over the stamped image, with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

In the picture above, you can see the 3 main colours used; Lovely Lipstick, Grapefruit Grove and Highland Heather. If you love all 16 of the New colours, you can purchase the Bundle of them (#147161) and save 10% – or Join my New Colours Club, and get them plus the matching markers over 8 months – it’s a great budget helper! I've always liked to create things, but I'm not a great artist, or sculptor, or any type of 'traditional' artist - but I love to create! I love the satisfaction of a completed project. Whether a card, painting or other project - as long as it can create a smile, evoke a feeling, or some type of reaction in the recipient. I hope you will enjoy sharing my creations, and occasional ramblings; I'd enjoy having you create with me! :)

  1. Your cards are gorgeous. That is a sweet idea to send them out with your catalogs. I am sorry you couldn’t hand them out personally but this is a nice touch.

    1. Aww, thanks Susan! I just missed seeing everyone in person, and showing off our new ‘toys’! 🙂 Yes, the cards were well received.

    1. Thanks, Buffy! Yes, the cards were well received 🙂 I didn’t write on the cards, so that they could send them to someone else if they wanted to!

I love to read what you have to say! Thanks for commenting ;)
