ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE AND A DOG
I think the statement ‘all you need is love and a dog’ is so true! I’m still heartbroken over the passing of our beloved Shadow over a year ago. He was 15 years old, and we’d had him since he was a pup. We actually chose him when he was still with his mom, brothers & sisters! One day we may get another dog, but not yet. This is a picture of Shadow, with one of his favourite toys – a stuffed pumpkin!
Since we’re coming up on Valentine’s Day, I thought I would create this card using some supplies from my stash. Actually, this card doesn’t have to be for Valentine’s; it can be for any time, for anyone who loves dogs.
BOOKS & DOGS
Another of my loves is books! Give me animals, books, and coffee – and I’m set for life! This card is created with some ‘unbranded’ dies to create the book pages. The Labrador dog die is from Poppy Stamps, but it must be discontinued, because I can’t find it anywhere online.
CARD FRONT DETAILS
Use the Big Shot and book pages dies, and die cut 3 pages from white cardstock. Use a blending tool and some light brown ink to shade the edges of the pages. Next, stamp the sentiment from the Penny Black Sentiment Collection onto the top (smallest) page in VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink. Cover the ink with Clear Embossing powder, ans set it with a heat tool.
Die cut the Poppy Stamps Labrador die from black cardstock, and attach it with foam tape to the right side of the smallest page. Add some small hearts, stamped in red ink, around the dog and sentiment. Layer each of the pages together with foam tape, and then attach them onto a panel of red cardstock. Finally, attach them all to a card base of black cardstock.
Since this card fits in the ‘Love is in the Air’ theme for the Scrap ‘N Stamp challenge, I’m going to include it in the challenge. If you want to play along with it, you must first be on Facebook, and then add yourself to their challenge page. It’s easy to do, and they have fun monthly challenges. I also added a sloth card for this challenge – if you missed it, you can see it in THIS POST.

I love that book page die! Where did you get it? This is such a cute card.
Thanks, Susan! I’m glad that you like my dog & book card. I bought the book page dies online; I’ll email you the details!
