Hello again, Stampin' Friends!
It seems I'm on a roll with the Birthday cards, so I thought I'd share another one today; I hope you're not getting tired of them! The great thing about these cards is – you can easily change the sentiment to suit the occasion for which you need the card!
Have a look at this card here, and imagine it with 'congratulations', or 'thinking of you', instead of 'happy birthday'. That's what I love about Stampin' Up! stamps – their versatility!
I started with a Whisper White card stock base, and ran it through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder (#117335). I covered the bottom half of the card with paper from the Comfort Cafe Designer Series Paper. Then, using the Big Shot again, this time with the Labels Collection Framelits, (#125598) I cut 2 sizes; one in Whisper white and one in Pool Party textured card stock, layered them together, stamping the leaves from the Papaya Collage stamp set (#126610w/126612c) in Gumball Green ink. I stamped the butterfly from Papillion Potpourri (#123757w/123759c) in Midnight Muse ink on Whisper White, and punched it twice with the new 'Elegant Butterfly' punch (#127526) – the 2nd time with plain Midnight Muse cardstock, and layered the together, slightly off centre for depth. The 'Happy Birthday' sentiment (retired set) was stamped in Midnight Muse ink on Whisper White, punched with the 'Modern Label' punch (#119849) and layered on a Midnight Muse cardstock punched with the 'Decorative Label' punch (#120907). Before popping on the butterfly labels, I ran some 3/8" Ruffled Ribbon in Island Indigo (#122974) across the top of the DSP and tied a knot.
Working with Stampin' Up! product is wonderful, because it either matches, or coordinates, effortlessly! It's one of my favourite things about the papers, inks and embellishments!
