I just received a stamp that had been on back order, and made this cute card with it! The stamp set is called Birthday Wishing, featuring the whimsical art of Anita Jeram for Colorado Craft Company. I just love these mice, although I’d never send this card to my bestie Susan – any kind of mouse freaks her out!
I decided to set the scene as a birthday surprise for the littlest mouse.
Isn’t that sweet?! When I was working on this card, my son and I were also watching an adult squirrel teaching 2 young squirrels how to climb up & down the trees in our back yard! Talk about cute 🙂
On a piece of white cardstock, stamp the mouse images in Nocturne ink. Stamp the sentiment, also from the Birthday Wishes set, in Gina K. Blue Lagoon ink. Allow the Nocturne ink to dry, and then use your markers to colour. For the mice, I chose Spectrum Noir EB1 Sand, and EB2 Natural Brown. Copic markers in Warm Gray, Lipstick Red and Celadon Green are used for the shadow, and present.
Next, use the MFT Confetti Stencil with Salty Ocean distress ink, and add some blue circles to the background. To finish off, use a white gel pen to add some highlights to the stamped images and circles.

Now is the perfect time to stock up on birthday cards, so you’re ready for the rest of the year! Well, the whole year might be a bit ambitious, but it’s a good goal. There’s loads of cute images and sentiments in this Birthday Wishing stamp set.
