More Card Sharing With Friends

Welcome back, stamping friend!  I’m back, as promised, to continue with more card sharing with friends.  A couple of weeks ago, Margaret, one of my team members, held a card swap for friends.  We each created 12 cards; 6 each of 2 different designs.  Then, we swapped our cards with each other, explaining what we used and how to create each card.

So far I’ve shared my cards in THIS POST, and THIS POST, and one other set of cards in THIS POST.

Today I’m going to speed things up a bit, and share 4 cards!

Detailed Die Cuts

This card was made by Colleen, who happens to also be a lovely client of mine, as well as a good friend of Margaret’s.  Colleen loves detailed die cuts, as you can see by her use of the frame and shoe, both by Tattered Lace.  You may recognize the little butterflies, which are from the retired Stampin’ Up! Sizzlits .  (I still have these, too – I just love butterflies of all sizes!).  Also, you may be able to see the new Sale-A-Bration Glimmer Paper in Bermuda Bay behind the white oval – isn’t it gorgeous?  The rhinestones add some extra bling 🙂

Happy Birthday Fancy Die Cut

How about this fancy dress die cut for a Happy Birthday!?  Like I said before, just because I’m a die-hard Stampin’ Up! gal, doesn’t mean that I can’t appreciate the lovely dies and sets created by other companies 🙂  I love Colleen’s combination of purples with the silver foil and glimmer, and the pearls to add to the sleek shine.  This dress makes me think of the ’50’s ‘flapper’ dresses!

Rose Garden Thinlits

The beautiful Rose Garden Thinlits take centre stage on this beautiful monochromatic card in blue and white!  This card, and the next one, were created by Denise, who is a niece of Margaret.  I wonder if Denise has joined the Stampin’ Up! family yet – she is going to decide before the end of March, so she can take advantage of the awesome 2 FREE STAMP SETS during the Sale-A-Bration Sign Up promotion!  Smart lady, Denise is! 🙂  To read more about the promotion, READ THIS post – maybe you’d like to join my team!

Denise created the card base of Night of Navy cardstock, then created 2 layers with the Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper.  The large rose die cut is attached in the middle; you can’t see it in the picture, but Denise added some Clear Wink of Stella to the middle of the rose for a beautiful shimmer.  By using the ‘for you’ sentiment means that this card can be used for a lot of different occasions.

Modern Mosaic

Do you remember when this beautiful modern mosaic designer series paper came out, along with coordinating stamp set, embossing folder and punch?  I still have the embossing folder and punch 🙂  You can see the Summer Starfruit Ribbon on this card; it is a retired In Colour from about 2 years ago, I think.  The sentiment is from a current stamp set, Balloon Adventures.

So you See…

…it doesn’t matter whether you’re all Stampin’ Up!, or you mix and match with other brands, or even mix current with retired.  You’ll still come out with beautiful projects that are perfect for sharing with friends!  I still have a few more sets to share with you, so make sure you come back again to see them.  Until next time, I hope you have a good time stamping!

I've always liked to create things, but I'm not a great artist, or sculptor, or any type of 'traditional' artist - but I love to create! I love the satisfaction of a completed project. Whether a card, painting or other project - as long as it can create a smile, evoke a feeling, or some type of reaction in the recipient. I hope you will enjoy sharing my creations, and occasional ramblings; I'd enjoy having you create with me! :)
