Celebrate Amazing You!

Recently one of my team members, Margaret, celebrated her 2 year anniversary as a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator! I’m so lucky to have Margaret on my team; she’s incredibly talented and very creative. In fact, she was also my floral design teacher, way back when she had her own florist business as well as taught, and I was a florist! We had lost touch for a while, when one day, she came with one of my current customers to one of my Open House.  I had no idea she was coming, and she had no idea that I was the host! Talk about a small world, right? Well, shortly after that, Margaret couldn’t resist the awesome deal and she signed up!

Since Margaret had signed up during a Sale-A-Bration 2 years ago, I thought it was appropriate to use some current Sale-A-Bration products when creating her card.

Celebrate Amazing You!

I love the bright colour combination in the Painted with Love Specialty Designer Series Paper, so that’s where I pulled my palette from.

The sentiment is stamped in Melon Mambo and Calypso Coral ink. I wanted to stay with a script for the ‘you’, so I used the Daisy Delight stamp set, and inked up just the ‘you’, with my Calypso Coral Stampin’ Write Marker.

The ‘celebrate’ is from the Amazing You stamp setFREE during Sale-A-Bration. The ‘amazing’ is die cut with the Big Shot and the Celebrate You Thinlits – again, FREE during Sale-A-Bration – and cut from Gold Foil Paper.

Everything is stamped or attached to circle of Whisper White cardstock, that had been die cut with the Stitched Shapes Framelits. This was layered onto a Melon Mambo circle, die cut with the same Framelits.

The card base is Melon Mambo cardstock, with a panel of Calypso Coral cardstock on top. Then the Painted with Love Specialty DSP is layered onto the bottom, and the die cut circles on top of that. To finish off the front, I added some stars from the Metallic Enamel Shapes.

Celebrate Amazing You!

Stamping on the inside is always a fun, added touch.

Stamping on the envelope also adds an extra element of fun for the recipient! I wanted lots of room for my own message of thanks and congratulations, so I didn’t add a stamped sentiment.

I’m grateful for the wonderful people who make up my team! I’m looking forward to sending the rest of the group their cards as their anniversaries arrive; I wonder what great stamps and paper will be available for me to use? Something awesome, I’m sure!

I've always liked to create things, but I'm not a great artist, or sculptor, or any type of 'traditional' artist - but I love to create! I love the satisfaction of a completed project. Whether a card, painting or other project - as long as it can create a smile, evoke a feeling, or some type of reaction in the recipient. I hope you will enjoy sharing my creations, and occasional ramblings; I'd enjoy having you create with me! :)
