We’ve made it – it’s Friday! Cheers to you, my friend! Sometimes one week can seem like two; other times, the days fly by in a blur. I hope your week has been a good one. I’m here to celebrate with you with a fun card you could send to your wine-loving friends.
CHEERS TO YOU!
I still have a few Stampin’ Up! stamps in my stash, this is one of them. It’s a set called Half Full, and of course it’s wine related. I combined the stamp set with the My Favorite Things (MFT) Mondo Cheers Die.
Like my coffee card earlier this week, this card comes together quite quickly!
CARD DETAILS
On a panel of white cardstock, stamp the ‘half full’ sentiment at the top. I used Stampin’ Up! Merry Merlot ink – isn’t that appropriate?! Next, stamp the wine glasses image in the middle of the panel, in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. To colour in the wine, I used a colourless blender pen and picked up ink from the link of the ink pad.
Use your Big Shot with the MFT Mondo Cheers die, and die cut it 3 times. I die cut it twice from Merry Merlot cardstock, and once from white fun foam. The fun foam stayed quite squished, so it didn’t give me as much ‘lift’ as I thought it would. That’s why I added the 2nd cutting in the cardstock.
Before adding the ‘cheers’, use a Life Changing Blender Brush and apply first Milled Lavender and then Seedless Preserves Distress inks around the edges of the panel, leaving it white towards the middle. Now, layer all the sentiment die cuts together with liquid glue, and attach them across the bottom of the panel.
ADD A LITTLE BLING
Finish off your front panel by adding a few rhinestones. Then, attach the panel to a card base that matches your ‘cheers’ die cut sentiment.
I forgot to add it before taking the photo, but I will add a panel of white cardstock to the inside, before sending the card.
