Hello there, Stamping Friends!

I hope you're enjoying your weekend – plus, it's a long weekend in a lot of areas, with Rememberance Day being on Monday the 11th.

My weekend started off great with a class on Friday, with some great gals attending to make their Christmas Banners.

Here's Karen, hard at work on her banners – yes, I said 'banners' – she's made 4 banners, each with the word "JOY" to give as gifts.  How generous of her; I'd love to get a gift like that – wouldn't you?!

Susan made 2 banners, which will go together – they say "MERRY HO HO".  How cute is that!!  I just love the pop of red in the letters.  Susan is planning to decorate her office with her banner – she already 'wowed' her coworkers last month with her 'Spooky' Hallowe'en banner!  I think they'll be just as blown away by this one – if not more!

Here's Debbie with her finished masterpiece – I do mean that; it turned out beautifully!  Debbie's banner reads "BE MERRY", and she let me know that it's hanging over her fireplace today!

The banners are made using the Stampin' Up! Banner Simply Created Kit (#132699 $11.95) which consists of 18 blank canvas pieces in 3 shapes and 9' of jute twine, plus the Christmas Banner Simply Created Accessory Kit (#132697 $11.95) which includes lenghts of 3 kinds of ribbon, Vintage Faceted Designer buttons, Large Rhinestone Jewels, 4 Rosettes, and 3 glitter snowflakes.  We also used the letter and background stencils from the Build a Banner Simply Created Kit (#133507 $24.95).

I also made some extra rosettes using the Winter Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper (#132341 $15.95), and made some snowflakes using the Festive Flurry stamp set (#131781 $35.95cm/#131778 $48.95wm) and cut out using the coordinating Festive Flurry Framelits Dies (#132193 $30.95).  We also added some extra 'bling' with the Frosted Finishes Embellishments (#132150 $8.95).

I think the end result is just gorgeous, for a banner decoration that you can use for years to come!

What's that?  You're wondering how my banner turned out?  Well – I'll have to let you know; I don't have it finished yet!  It's about 1/2 done, but I spent last night helping everyone else with theirs, so I'll share a picture of mine when I have it done – hopefully by the end of this weekend!

If you're in the Lower Mainland, I'd love to have you stop by and visit me next Sunday, Nov. 17th at the Holy Cross School Christmas Craft Fair.  I'll be there from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm, selling my hand made items (using Stampin' Up! product, of course); everything from cards, post it note holders, gift boxes, wrapped chocolates, and more.

The address is 1450 Delta Ave., North Burnaby, if you'd like to come on by!  Now, I  have to get back to work, making more goodies for the Fair.

Until next time – Happy Stamping!

I've always liked to create things, but I'm not a great artist, or sculptor, or any type of 'traditional' artist - but I love to create! I love the satisfaction of a completed project. Whether a card, painting or other project - as long as it can create a smile, evoke a feeling, or some type of reaction in the recipient. I hope you will enjoy sharing my creations, and occasional ramblings; I'd enjoy having you create with me! :)

I love to read what you have to say! Thanks for commenting ;)
