Hello, Stamping Friends!

I know I’ve been away for a while, with the exception of posting about Stampin’ Up!’s Online Extravaganza – I just couldn’t let you miss that great deal!

The reason for my absence is that my husband had a very serious heart attack 2 weekends ago; it was a shock to all of us, and after a brief stay in the hospital and a stent operation, he’s been at home, trying to take it easy.  I say ‘trying’, because it’s very difficult for someone who is used to being on the go all day at a physical job to suddenly do next to nothing – even for a short period of time!

Combine that with the numerous follow up appointments, the fact that I have to take him everywhere (he hasn’t been allowed to drive), and that leaves little time for crafting, let alone posting here!

I did manage to steal some time at my craft table, though, so I thought I’d share some projects with you 🙂  Some of these were started earlier on – before my husband’s attack – in preparation for a craft sale I was registered to attend, but then had to cancel.

Before I share my projects, I just wanted to remind you that there’s only 3 DAYS LEFT to take advantage of the super deals in the ONLINE EXTRAVAGANZA, with one more DOOR BUSTER SPECIALS on Monday, Dec. 1st.  As my THANK YOU to you, my wonderful, loyal customers, I’m offering FREE SHIPPING until the evening of Monday Dec. 1st – that’s another 10% savings for you!  All you have to do is make your list of what you want to order, send it to me either by phone or email (604.298.0472 or debsmart@shaw.ca) and I will submit all orders at 8:00 pm Monday, Dec. 1st.  This will allow you to take advantage of the Door Buster Specials, and get what you want from the sale list.  Of course, you can also order from any of the current catalogues (Annual and Holiday), and choose from the Clearance Rack – all qualify for the FREE SHIPPING offer.  This is a special offer just from me, to you; so you need to send your order through me, so I can pay for your shipping.  You must also live within Canada, as I’m not allowed to sell outside of Canada.

My first project is these cute little 4 oz. coffee cups with lids; I wrapped them with the All is Calm Designer Series Paper, and created a holder for them.  Bonus – see that little band at the top of the back?   It’s the perfect size to slide in a Gift Card – so your recipient gets a cute little cup filled with goodies (I put Hershey’s Kisses inside), plus a Gift Card.  Wrapped with the Stampin’ Up! Gussetted Cello Bags and a tag, and you’re ready to surprise a friend, co-worker, babysitter or mail carrier with the perfect little gift!

My next craft project is a cute little treat holder, specifically for the plastic tubes that I’ve filled with yummy jelly beans!

Tube treat holders

These are super cute, and easy to make!  I’ll be adding a tutorial in a few days, so be sure to come back and check.  I used a mix of new and retired products for these; I used the now-retired Gumball Green card stock and DSP from last year’s holiday catalogue.  Then I used this year’s Festival of Trees stamp set and the matching Tree Punch, and the fun Christmas Bliss photopolymer stamp set for the sentiments.  I stamped the sentiments in Real Red ink onto Whisper White card stock, and used the Banners Framelits Die to cut them  out into perfect banners.  A couple of sequins for some ‘bling’, and they’re done!  (of course, I did had to sample some jelly beans while putting these together – in the interest of quality control, of course! 🙂 )

Everyone loves to enjoy the warm glow of candles at Christmas, so I did some candle sets!

Bright & Beautiful Candles

These were stamped using the Bright & Beautiful stamp set for the stars, and Everything Eleanor for the ‘swirl’.  I stamped using Blackberry Bliss and Hello Honey inks.

Beautiful Season Candles

For this set, I used the retired Beautiful Season stamp set; I just love the little Chickadee on the Holly branch!

Beauty of the Season candles

Another bird set – this time using the Beauty of the Season from the current Holiday Catalogue.  I liked the added Burlap Ribbon for the rustic touch on this candle.  The smaller candle is stamped with the Ornamental Pine stamp set; I think these 2 sets go well together.

That’s lots of pictures for this post, I think – I’ll come back & share some more on Tuesday.

Remember – I’m offering FREE SHIPPING tomorrow, Monday Dec. 1st on ALL ORDERS placed through me (this is my special for you, not a SU! special).  You can send me your order today or tonight, or contact me tomorrow with your shopping list!

Until next time – Happy Stamping!

I've always liked to create things, but I'm not a great artist, or sculptor, or any type of 'traditional' artist - but I love to create! I love the satisfaction of a completed project. Whether a card, painting or other project - as long as it can create a smile, evoke a feeling, or some type of reaction in the recipient. I hope you will enjoy sharing my creations, and occasional ramblings; I'd enjoy having you create with me! :)
