Cozy Fox Cards

I’m back with 6 more cards, made for my donation stash for The Fur Bearers! I pulled out a couple of stamps from Lesia Zgharda Stamps that I haven’t used in a while. Her style is so realistic, I just wish that I had her amazing colouring skills, too! Anyway, I created 6 cozy fox cards – you’ll understand when you see them.

For these 3 cards, I used the single image Sleeping Fox stamp. The background panel is created with the Lavinia Stamps Pods stencil and some Distress Inks.

The fox is stamped with Gina K. Faded Brick ink. Next, the image is filled in using Faber Castell coloured pencils. I lightly shaded the background with 2 shades of green pencils. Finally, this is layered onto a piece of dark red/brown cardstock, the same as is used for the card base.

This second set of 3 cards uses the Fox in Cave stamp set. It comes complete with the fox, the cave bricks and all sorts of add on’s.

This time, the fox is stamped with Gina K. Tomato Soup ink; the grass in green and stones in gray.  I then used a combination of my Faber Castell pencils to colour in the fox and background. The same dark red/brown cardstock and Lavinia Pods stencil is used.  Fired Brick, Spiced Marmalade and Mustard Seed Distress inks are blended with the stencil.

If you missed the first 2 batches of cards that I’ve shared, you can see them in THIS POST, and THIS POST. You’ll also find out the information about The Fur Bearers, and why I’m donating cards to this non-profit organization. In the meantime, I’m still anxiously awaiting the new animal stamps that I ordered from Impression Obsession! According to the tracking (no, I’m not stalking – I’m ‘tracking’!), they finally arrived in Canada yesterday, but on the east coast. So now they have to make the arduous trek through our postal system, from east to west coast. *ugh* So, maybe another week *sad face*.

I don’t have an affiliate with Lesia Zgharda Stamps – she’s located in Ukraine. But please, CLICK HERE to check out her amazing selection of stamps! They are very well priced, and definitely worth the postal wait.

Affiliate links for the other supplies I use are provided. If you choose to use my links, you help support me in maintaining my blog, at no extra cost to you. Thanks in advance!

I've always liked to create things, but I'm not a great artist, or sculptor, or any type of 'traditional' artist - but I love to create! I love the satisfaction of a completed project. Whether a card, painting or other project - as long as it can create a smile, evoke a feeling, or some type of reaction in the recipient. I hope you will enjoy sharing my creations, and occasional ramblings; I'd enjoy having you create with me! :)

I love to read what you have to say! Thanks for commenting ;)
