Welcome back, to our 3rd Creation Station Blog Tour!
I'm so glad you're back, sharing another round of creativity sharing with this amazing group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators 🙂 As you probably know, we demonstrators get to pre-order products from the new catalogue, up to 1 month before it's released. This gives us the opportunity to play with, experiment with, and create samples to share with you – thus giving you ideas about how you can use these wonderful new products, too!
Just in case this is the first Blog Tour you're enjoying, this is how it works: each of us participating has 'linked' our blog to the person before and after us. All you have to do, to 'tour' through all the blogs is to continue clicking on the "Next" button after this post; or you can go backwards if you want – and at any time, you can randomly jump from blog to blog, by clicking on the links provided at the very end. It's your choice – however you like to take the tour, I know you'll enjoy yourself!
For this Blog Tour, we decided to focus on one of the new stamp sets that also has a matching Framelit set – the stamp set is called Something for Baby, and the Baby's First is the name of the Framelits set. Stampin' Up! not only makes it easy to create professional looking projects by having the coordinating stamps and framelits, but they are also offering a savings of 15% if you Bundle & Buy Both at the same time!
It's been a busy week for me; on Friday evening I just held my New Catalogue Kick-Off Party, so between personal life, prepping for my party, and this tour, I was running a little short on time. Just like you, right?! We all run short on time, for whatever reason – so I thought this would be a great opportunity to show you how you can create 2 fabulous cards in under an hour – and everyone will think you spent ages making them! All thanks to the wonderful coordination of Stampin' Up!'s stamp sets, framelits, colours and inks!
Here's my first card:
How cute is this?! 🙂 And I ddin't have to cut a single thing by hand! That's right – everything, including the tie and little flower are all cut using the Baby's First Framelits die set! I thought this would be such a cute card, if you konw someone who is expecting twins! Of course, if it were before the birth and they didn't know the gender, you could always just leave the tie and flower off the little onsies.
Supplies:
Cardstock: Crisp Cantaloupe, Smoky Slate, Whisper White
Designer Series Paper: Lullaby (new catalogue)
Stamp Sets: Yippee Skippee, Something for Baby
Inks: Pistachio Pudding, Crisp Cantaloupe, Bermuda Bay
Tools: 2" Circle Punch, 2 3/8" Scallop Circle Punch, Baby's First Framelits Dies, Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder, Big Shot
Other: Thick Baker's Twine in Crisp Cantaloupe, Stampin' Dimensionals, Glue Dots
For my second card, I really couldn't resist playing with another one of the stamps in this set – the rubber ducky! He's just so stinkin' cute – I couldn't resist! Plus – you don't need to make this as a Baby card – I didn't! (can you just imagine those little ties being used for a Father's Day card? how about a field of little flowers with that flower framelit?)
So without further ado – here's my ducky card!
Isn't it just 'ducky'?! (yes, I had to go there. admit it; you knew it was going to happen!) The light played a bit of a trick in this photo; the card base is actually Daffodil Yellow, though it looks more orange-y in the photo.
I stamped the duck 3 times in different colours (Daffodil Delight, Real Red and Gumball Green), each time masking off the beak and colouring it with the new Tangelo Twist marker. I made the 'waves' by cutting 2" wide strips of Coastal Cabana cardstock and Fresh Prints DSP and punching 1/2 way down with the 1" Circle Punch in random places (I think waves are random, but honestly, I didn't do any research into it!). Since these little duckies make me smile, I just had to use the Yippee Skippee set again for the sentiment 🙂
Supplies:
Cardstock: Daffodil Yellow, Coastal Cabana, Whisper White
Designer Series Paper: Fresh Prints Paper Stack (retiring)
Stamp Sets: Something for Baby, Yippee Skippee
Inks: Daffodil Yellow, Gumball Green, Real Red, Tangelo Twist (marker), Coastal Cabana
Tools: Big Shot, Baby's First Framelits, Word Bubbles Framelits, 1" Circle Punch
Other: Stampin' Dimensionals, Stampin' Glue Stick
See that – 2 cards, less than an hour – easy peasy!! It reminds me of when my youngest son was little, and watched 'Bob the Builder' cartoon – 'Can we do it?' he would ask. 'Yes, we can!' was always the answer 🙂
Isn't it nice to see that you also have new DSP to use with your existing colours, as well as the new In Colours? Stampin' Up! is nice to us that way. I know you're going to love, love, love the new catalogue – but while you're waiting for it to go 'live' to order from on June 2nd at Noon – take a tour through our Creation Station Blog Tour, and get some more fabulous ideas for your own creations.
Thanks for stopping by; if you have time, I'd love to read a comment from you 🙂 Until next time – Happy Stamping!

Cheers,
Deborah, love that you showed how easy it is to created cards quickly, especially with such great coordinating products! The “twin” card is adorable…perfect sentiment for it!! And, how fun are those rubber duckies in the waves. So cute!
Thanks so much for your comment, Heidi!  I just love quick & easy cards – sometimes we forget that we really need them! 🙂
Great cards, Deb. As the mom of almost 15-year-old boy/girl twins, I would have loved to have received your card! It’s super! The duckies are, as you say, ducky! What a cute idea!
Love how you matched these with sentiments from the Yippee Skippe Set! You’ve inspired me. Especially love the twins card. I get asked about these all the time and yet haven’t make one yet. Great job!! Thanks for sharing.
I haven’t had a chance to play with this stamp set yet, however my friend is bringing it over tomorrow and I’m going to show her both your cards. How inspiring! Great choices Deb and great cards. TFS.
