CROP AND CREATE FUN!
This past Saturday was our first Crop & Create, and I think we can qualify it as a success! Like any new venture, not everything went exactly as planned. Lynn, Margaret and I learned that we definitely need more time for our set up, and the whole event could have been longer. But all in all, we had some wonderful feedback from our guests!
COMMENTS & COMPLIMENTS
These are a few of the comments and compliments from some of our guests.
Jane said “Just putting my stuff away after a fun afternoon of crafting when I realized………..YOU MADE THE GIFT BAG TOO!!!!!!!!!!!” (Lynn made all of the gift bags, using the Gift Bag Punch Board!)
Rita said “I just want to say thank you for the class that you girls organized for today. All of you put in a lot of work to put this together and it was much appreciated. I enjoyed doing the frame…it is beautiful…and am looking forward to doing the birthday cards from the kit. Again thank you to all of you for the creative afternoon.”
Rita worked so hard on her sampler – and this is where we learned that more time was needed for this intensive class! There were a couple of people who were unable to complete both classes in the time allotted (we had rented the gym for a set time, so couldn’t go past our end time). Fortunately, the Birthday class that Rita took home with her included the Picture Perfect stamp set, the written instructions (including pictures and step by step instructions for each project), and full pre-cut kits for each project.
Mary messaged “You three make a good team. Thanks for the bag of goodies. ”
And Karen gave us some great feedback on the set up of the Sampler class, which we totally agree with! “Thanks for a lovely afternoon. I am excited to meet up with you again soon. … have all of the items required to make a card etc… at a table/station as you do with your punches. Once finished one would return all items needed to make that card and proceed with the next available card as needed. Would save time and the class/product would remain organized. Had an awesome time with the ladies nonetheless. ”
We truly appreciate all of the comments from everyone!
PICTURES OF THE SET UP
We rented the large gym at one of our local recreation centres, which was perfect for our set up! We had 7 Crop tables, 3 tables for the Framed Sampler Class, 4 tables for the Birthday Class, 4 tables for the Tools for the Crop (with 4 Big Shots, 3 Trimmers and cutting tools, 3 Simply Scored Tools, and oodles & oodles of framelits, thinlits, dies and punches!).
These are our project display and Paper Pumpkin display tables. Margaret had stamped, punched and created all of the daisies for the vases around the room – each one was a triple daisy! I think she punched over 100 daisies!
We had 2 tables for the snacks and beverages; you can tell that everything wasn’t set out yet, when I took this picture. Isn’t it great that we were able to find table covers and flowers for decorations to match our colour scheme? Seems that everyone loves Lemon Lime Twist, and Melon Mambo!
Here’s Lynn (in the black & white) helping some of the ladies work on their Framed Samplers. Behind the class tables, you can see a small table set up with a Big Shot just for this class, with all the dies needed. Behind that table, you can see some ladies at their Crop tables.
Here’s a group of ladies working on their Birthday class projects. This was the most popular class, and we had 2 sessions of it, back to back, to fit everyone in! I led these classes, and was taking pictures, that’s why you can’t see me! 🙂
I don’t want to overload this post with pictures, so I’ll share some more tomorrow, along with sharing what our prizes were, and who won! It was pretty exciting!
RETIRING PRODUCTS GOING FAST
Some of the products we used in the classes are on the retiring list – like the Picture Perfect Party 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper Stack. (Good news – the Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set is carrying over to the new catalogue!). Be sure to place your order for the retiring products soon, before they sell out!

Thanks for visiting my blog today – be sure to come back tomorrow for more pictures of the wonderful guests and their projects!
