Deciding on My Next Project

I’m excited – because I just received my order of wood cut frames! My box of goodies arrived on Saturday, and now I’m deciding on my next project. I’ve got a box full to choose from!

Deciding on My Next Project

You probably recognize the bears in the front left; I made one of the into my Aurora Borealis Bear, which I shared in THIS POST.  That was the fastest any of my projects has sold! It also resulted in more people wanting one, so I now have 3 more to create.

On the bottom right is a welcome sign, with beautiful flowers in the bottom of the circle. Above that, you can see the mandala cut Labrador dog – I’m really looking forward to doing that one! On top of the dog you can see the honeycombs – those are coaster sets!  On the left are pieces for 2 lanterns – I’ll be doing those to look like stained glass. I think they’ll look gorgeous with the light shining through!

The board in the middle is something different, called a Barn Quilt design. It’s scored adhesive on top of the wood, and you can peel each individual piece back to either paint, or add glitter, to create the whole image. This one is of a Cardinal bird on a branch, surrounded by stars. This will make an amazing Christmas gift!

WHICH IS YOUR FAVOURITE?

Do you have a favourite, from what you see above? I’m also waiting for my wood cut order to come from my Canadian supplier, too. I’ll have lots for you to choose from, for your Holiday décor and gifts! If you see something that you want, send me an email at thistledesigns@shaw.ca   If you catch me early enough, you can even request your own colours!

Okay – now I’m off to choose my next project, and get started! I’ll be back to share with you, don’t worry. In the meantime, be sure to check out what’s already available in my online SHOP!

I've always liked to create things, but I'm not a great artist, or sculptor, or any type of 'traditional' artist - but I love to create! I love the satisfaction of a completed project. Whether a card, painting or other project - as long as it can create a smile, evoke a feeling, or some type of reaction in the recipient. I hope you will enjoy sharing my creations, and occasional ramblings; I'd enjoy having you create with me! :)
