DETAILED POINSETTIA THINLITS CARD
I haven’t ordered many sets from the Holiday catalogue yet, so my wonderful team member, Lynn, just lent me several of hers! I started out with this Detailed Poinsettia Thinlits card. I was running out of time to get this post done, so I used just the thinlits. You can purchase them as a Bundle with the Peaceful Poinsettia stamp set, and save yourself 10%!
CARD DETAILS
Start with a 4″ x 5 1/4″ panel of Whisper White cardstock. Use the Detailed Poinsettia Thinlits with the Big Shot and the Precision Base Plate to die cut. Because of the many fine details, the Precision plate will be very helpful in cutting through all of them. You’ll still want to run it through back & forth a couple of times.
To add some colour to the front, use a Sponge Dauber with the Granny Apple Green ink pad. Sponge the green around the die cut leaf areas. Ink up the sentiment from the Peaceful Poinsettia stamp set first in Versamark ink, then immediately in Real Red ink. Stamp onto the front panel, then cover it with Clear Embossing Powder. Set the powder with the Heat Tool.
Next, cut a panel of the Joyous Noel 6″ x 6″ Glimmer Paper in Merry Merlot to 4″ x 5 1/4″. Attach the glimmer paper to the back of the die cut panel, with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Now, wind the Metallic Thread in Gold several times around the left hand side of the panels. I think I would it around about 5 or 6 times. Hold in in place on the back, with Tear & Tape. Finally, add the front panels to a card base made of Granny Apple Green cardstock. I light the bright green base – it’s an unexpected surprise, where you’d normally find a corresponding red base.
As I was short on time, I haven’t finished the inside of the card yet. But the Peaceful Poinsettia stamp set has some lovely sentiments to use.
