Did you hear the buzz? I swear, the maker world went crazy this weekend, when Tim Holtz released his latest – Distress Watercolor Pencils. It’s all anyone is talking about! Well, that’s not uncommon in the world of creating, as Tim Holtz is one of the most followed creators I’m aware of.

They say that a picture is worth a thousand words – so here’s the release video, featuring Tim Holtz himself!
It’s quite a long video (2.5 hours!) so here’s some of the highlights you’ll need to know. First, you’ll find that these Distress Watercolor Pencils are in the same colours as the currently available Distress Inks. Second, they can be used on all kinds of paper – quality paper of course will yield better results. Third, you can use these pencils to colour over Distress Inks!
To see the demonstration part of the video, you can forward to the 1 hour mark. You’ll see that as well as colouring over Distress Inks, you can also colour over Distress Paint, as well. Check out the demo at the 1:54 mark, and see what happens when you dip the coloured pencil into water, and then colour with it!
At about the 2 hour mark, you can watch the demo on using the pencils directly on your stamps, and stamping with them. Loads of great ideas!
