DON’T LET FRIENDS WINE ALONE!
Welcome back to another Paper Craft Crew challenge! This week is a colour challenge; you choose at least 2 of the colours from the 4 given. Neutrals can be used as needed. I had fun playing with my new Good Time To Wine stamp set from My Favorite Things last week, so I’m sharing another card! This one uses the sentiment Friends Don’t Let Friends Wine Alone – isn’t that cute? The stamp set is all sentiments, and they’re all great.
PCC322 COLOUR CHALLENGE
So with this challenge, you get to choose the stamps and layout. Just use at least 2 of the 4 colours, above, in your project. It’s that easy! I’m looking forward to seeing what you create.
FRIENDS DON’T LET FRIENDS….
I chose to use both the Pale and Light Pink colours from the challenge. My ‘neutrals’ are the metallics in the sequins and stars, and the champagne foil for the glasses.
CARD FRONT DETAILS
Technically, I only used one colour of pink; I just applied it in an ombre effect! Start with a panel of white cardstock, and choose your pink. I used Picked Raspberry Distress ink, and chose to use my Life Changing Blender Brushes.
Start at the bottom of the panel, and apply the ink across, moving from a heavier application at the bottom to ‘barely there’ at the top of the panel. Once you’re happy with the colour, stamp your sentiment from the Good Time to Wine set at the bottom, in Picked Raspberry Distress ink. Next, stamp over the sentiment with Versamark ink. This is easily done by using your MISTI or other stamping platform, for perfect alignment. Cover the sentiment with Clear Embossing Powder, and set with a heat tool.
CREATE YOUR GLASSES
Use a Big Shot with the Good Time to Wine dies, and die cut 2 glasses from Champagne foil paper – or whichever colour you prefer. Add double-sided adhesive tape to the back of the glass, and place the Shaker Glass Pouch inside. Fill the shaker pouch with sequins of your choice. Die cut the cover piece for the back of the glass from acetate, and attach it in place with more double-sided tape.
Attach the wine glass die cuts to your front panel with more adhesive tape. I didn’t use foam tape, as I felt that the dimension of the shaker pouch was enough, for the card front. The picture below shows the depth of the shaker pouches.
Finally, finish off your card front by adding some metallic star sequins. These were from my stash of retired SU! embellishments.
I hope you like my card, and that it gave you some inspiration for our challenge! The Good Time To Wine stamp set is fun, but I think you could use the dies and shaker pouches & create any kind of celebration card. You can also use the dies without the shaker pouch, if you need a card you can easily mail.
