Welcome back, my friend! Today’s card is nice & easy, just what I needed. It features some ink blending, heat embossing and the Taylored Expressions Doodle Flower Background stamp. Read on, and I’ll share how to make this quick card.
DOODLE FLOWERS BACKGROUND
In my opinion, Taylored Expressions left the perfect amount of space in the middle of this stamp. There’s enough room for a nice sentiment, but not too much. If you just want a short sentiment, it doesn’t look ‘lost’ in the middle.
Start with a panel of white cardstock. If you don’t want to, or don’t have time to colour in the flowers, simply ink blend a background! Starting from the outside edge, use a blending tool and apply Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide ink. Next, blend on Broken China, and then finally Tumbled Glass in the middle. That was easy!
Now, line up this panel and the stamp in your stamp platform. Cover the stamp with Versamark ink, and press down firmly. Remove the panel from the stamp platform and cover the ink with white embossing powder. Set the powder with a heat tool. Now place the panel back in your stamp platform, and line up the sentiment from the Penny Black Sentiment Collection set. Again stamp in Versamark ink. This time, cover the sentiment with gold embossing powder, and heat set.
Attach the card front to a light blue card base. Finish off your card front by scattering different sizes of pearl embellishment on the front.
I told you it was a quick & easy card! But it still looks very pretty, and I’m sure anyone would love to receive it. If you need supplies to make this card, you can order them through the links below. Whatever you decide to create – have fun!
