Early Tulip Bouquet

Okay, maybe the time of year has passed for ‘early tulip bouquets’, but that doesn’t mean I have to stop using the Picket Fence Studios stamp!ย  I decided to make another quick card, again using the Lavinia Dream-Scape Papers. If you missed yesterday’s card, using a different pattern & colour scheme, check it out HERE.

EARLY TULIP BOUQUET

As I said yesterday, the gorgeous patterns & colours of the Lavinia papers do the ‘heavy lifting’ for you, when creating. I decided to let the paper be the focus, and stamped right on top of it.

This card was even faster to create than yesterday’s card!

CARD DETAILS

Select a piece of the Lavinia Dream-Scape Paper from the Colourburst pad. Set it and the Picket Fence Studios Early Tulip Bouquet stamp up in your MISTI, or other stamp platform. Ink up the image with Versafine Nocturne ink, and stamp directly on to the paper. Repeat with the sentiment, from the same stamp set.

Next, attach the card front with foam tape to a light pink piece of cardstock. Wrap some gold baker’s twine several times around the left side, and tie it off in a knot, in the front. Now, attach the card front to a dark pink card base. Finish off the card by gluing on some clear droplet embellishments.

Now -wasn’t that easy?!

Of course, you could switch up the look by heat embossing the image in gold or silver, or use a different colour of ink.

SUPPLIES

There’s just no excuse for buying a mass-produced, overpriced card from a store, when you can create your own beauties like this one, so quickly! And being hand made makes it much more special, too.ย  So have fun creating this weekend!

I've always liked to create things, but I'm not a great artist, or sculptor, or any type of 'traditional' artist - but I love to create! I love the satisfaction of a completed project. Whether a card, painting or other project - as long as it can create a smile, evoke a feeling, or some type of reaction in the recipient. I hope you will enjoy sharing my creations, and occasional ramblings; I'd enjoy having you create with me! :)

  1. Girl, if people can make Christmas cards in the middle of summer, it is never too late for tulips! So pretty! And how do you say tulips in Spanish? Tulipanes. Two-lee-pa-ness. Yay for Deb speaking espanol! ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š Deb, we are melting, girl. Thank you, Hurricane Laura, for the oppressive heat and humidity. We were 103*F today with a heat index of 107*F. Yuck! Well, we are safe so we shouldn’t complain. ๐ŸŒป๐ŸŒผ๐Ÿ’ฎ๐ŸŒธ Beautiful card!

I love to read what you have to say! Thanks for commenting ;)
