Hello Stampin' Friends!

Well, I can't believe it's been a whole week since I last posted!  Where has the time gone?

I know I've been busy; I've been making Father's Day cards to sell – and I still have to make Father's Day cards for my own Husband and Dad! – and my youngest son has been sick for the past week with the same cold that I had (still have the cough – just not going away!).  What have you been up to lately?  Have you ordered any of the products from the new catalogue?  What's your favourite new stamp, paper, or colour?

For everyone who was at my Open House – our order is scheduled to be delivered by the end of day tomorrow!! Woohoo!!  It's so much fun to see all the new product – and even more fun when I see the excited faces of my clients when they get their new goodies 🙂

Speaking of new goodies – before I share a Father's Day card with you, I thought I'd share one more card from my Open House – this one features the new "Wildflower Meadow" stamp set and embossing folder.  The  stamp set is available for $16.95 (item #129168 cm or $21.95 #129165 wm) and has a coordinating Embossing Folder (item #129376 $9.95) OR you can bundle the 2 products – stamp set and embossing folder for only $22.75 (item #132985 cm , $26.95 Item #132735 wm) – that's a 15% savings!!

What do you think?  There's lots of different ways to colour the stamp; I'm looking forward to trying more!

So, here's a Father's Day card that I made this past week – I hope you like it.

This card uses only one stamp – the single image tree from the set 'Lovely as a Tree' (item #127793 $24.95 cm/ #128655 $33.95 wm).  This is such a versatile set, with 6 different image stamps – and it's been a long-time favourite at Stampin' Up!  I think the day this set retires, there will be cries heard around the world!

To colour this card, I used my brayer, and the Stampin' Up! Classic Inks Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, and Cajun Craze.  Along the bottom of the card, I sponged Old Olive and Basic Black.  The tree is stamped in VersaMark Black, and highlighted using the uni-ball Signo Gel Pen in white (item #105021 $5.25).

I have lots more Father's Day cards to share with you, but I don't want to overload you in one day!

Until tomorrow – Happy Stamping!

I've always liked to create things, but I'm not a great artist, or sculptor, or any type of 'traditional' artist - but I love to create! I love the satisfaction of a completed project. Whether a card, painting or other project - as long as it can create a smile, evoke a feeling, or some type of reaction in the recipient. I hope you will enjoy sharing my creations, and occasional ramblings; I'd enjoy having you create with me! :)
