I’m back again, to share with you the Mother’s Day card my class made to coordinate with the Build a Bouquet Project Kit.

The colours in the bouquet are Strawberry Slush, Hello Honey, Pool Party and Crisp Cantaloupe – so I incorporated some of those into the card.

Flower Shop mother's day

The card base is the lovely Pool Party cardstock, layered with a panel of Lullaby Designer Series Paper.  Using the Labels Thinlits Dies (I’m so sad these are retiring!!), I cut out the centre of the DSP, and created a frame for the cut-out using 2 Labels Framelits Dies and Crushed Curry cardstock.  Before centering the Whisper White cardstock in the opening, I stamped it with the splotches from the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set in Pool Party, and then used a retired set for the sentiment, in Strawberry Slush.  I then layered all the pieces onto the card base using Tombow Multipurpose Glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I used the stamp sets Flower Shop and Petite Petals for the flowers; using Pool Party, Strawberry Slush and Crushed Curry inks.  It was so easy to punch them using their coordinating Pansy Punch and Petite Petals Punch!  They were layered around the sentiment using Stampin’ Dimensionals, and each one given a Basic Pearl Embellishment in the center.

Such a quick & cute card – and it matches the bouquet perfectly!  Here’s a picture, in case you forgot:

(sorry for the messy table – this was taken at the end of class!)

So if you’re still thinking of what to get Mom for her special day – you still have time to order your supplies for the Build a Bouquet Project Kit, and your card – and get them finished in time!  C’mon – I know you can do it 🙂  and she’ll love the gift from the heart.

Remember to check out the Retiring List, the Weekly Deals and the Clearance Rack if you’re looking for deals – and of course you can still order from the Annual Catalogue and Occasions Catalogue until June 2nd.  In fact, we just learned today that on June 2nd, you will still be able to order from the current 2014-2015 Annual Catalogue, the 2015 Occasions Catalogue and the NEW 2015-2016 Annual Catalogue!!  You’re sure to not miss out on anything! 🙂

Okay – I’m off to keep working on my projects for this weekend’s Creation Station Blog Tour – I hope to see you on Sunday for that!

In the meantime – happy stamping!

I've always liked to create things, but I'm not a great artist, or sculptor, or any type of 'traditional' artist - but I love to create! I love the satisfaction of a completed project. Whether a card, painting or other project - as long as it can create a smile, evoke a feeling, or some type of reaction in the recipient. I hope you will enjoy sharing my creations, and occasional ramblings; I'd enjoy having you create with me! :)

I love to read what you have to say! Thanks for commenting ;)
