Foiled Again By Flu

FOILED AGAIN BY FLU

*Caution – Rant Ahead*

I don’t do ‘sick’ well. Seriously – I’m not a ‘sick’ person – I don’t get sick very often, so it seems that when I do fall ill – I get VERY ill. *insert sad face here*

Last week, I started to have an annoying ‘tickle’ in the back of my throat. You know how irritating that is; you keep clearing your throat, drinking more water,  clearing your throat again. Basically, going about your business and wishing the annoyance would go away.

Fast forward 3 days, and you’re cough sounds like a sea lion  barking, your ribs hurt from coughing so hard, so often, and you wish you were dead. Not really dead,dead, but dead enough that the cough would give up and leave.

No such luck. I’m still here, and so is the cough. Along with his friends sinus congestion, sneezing, headache and general aches and pains.  All of which current medicine determines is “just” a virus. *sigh*.  We can put people on the moon, we can create self driving vehicles, wireless technology is everywhere, but we can’t get rid of a *virus*.

Okay, maybe this wasn’t so much a rant as a whine….but really, when you’re feeling this crappy, sleep deprived, dizzy, etc., it’s difficult to not whine. Or be cranky (sorry, family).

THE SHORT STORY

Okay, so all that was the long story. The short story is this – I have to cancel my New Catalogue Kick Off Party, which is supposed to be this coming Sunday, June 3rd.  I mean – I could hold the event, but I don’t think anyone would thank me for sharing this particular plague, er, *virus*.

While I have some projects ready, I just haven’t had the oomph these last few days to get busy at my craft table. FYI – this post has taken 2 sittings to write.

So I thought – I’d do a project a day, working up to the catalogue release this Friday, June 1st! Brilliant, right?! (just go with me on this, okay? it’s the best I can do right now). I’ll share the projects that I had created to share at my party, one per day, and then after the last post, everyone who comments on each post each day, will be entered into a draw! I’ll go into that more in my next post, which will be my first project share.
