Oh my gosh, Stamping Friends!  I had such fun last night working on the Burlap and Blooms Simply Created Wreath Kit – I just had to take pictures as I was working along, so you'd see why I was so excited at each step.

First, to refresh your memory, here's a picture of what comes in the kit –

I just LOVE the colours in this kit – they're so soft, and remind me of watercolours.  So the first thing I did was take everything out, and lay out the pieces pretty much like the picture above.

Next, I started to assemble all the flowers made with the circles – here's how that looked:

What's that?  Oh – you spied those different flowers at the top of the picture!  Okay – you caught me!!  I just couldn't resist trying out the new Spiral Flower Originals Die (#129379 $21.95), since I wanted to include some of those in my wreath, too.  I'll go into detail about that die, next time!

So after I finished assembly to 'circle' flowers, I started on the 'fringe' flowers.  Shut the front door – I'm in love!!  These are SO easy and SO fun to make – you have to try these – have a look at how fabulous these are – I just had to take more than one picture! 🙂

I warned you – I'm in love with these flowers!!   I can't wait to get the new Fringe Scissors (#133325 $13.50) – they will make reproducing these a snap!  (and you know I'll be making lots!)

Just a little tip – I'm so weird about these things, but I like to 'open up' each of the fringes, to make the flower more full; after tediously using my fingers, I turned to my trusty Paper Piercing Tool (#126189 $4.95), inserted the handle end into the loop part of each fringe (well, almost each one!), and turned it a bit to 'fluff up' the fringes.  Here's how it looks doing that –

The paper that these flowers are made of are thicker than our usual Designer Series Paper – perhaps because it's printed only on 1 side – so it stands up to more handling without tearing.

Now – for the reveal!  Here it is – my completed wreath!  (several pictures, of course – I just had to take close up's so that you could see the details of the flowers!)

The only extras that I added to my wreath that was not included in the kit were the butterflies, some ribbon and the additional flowers made with the Spiral Flower Die.  Otherwise, everything you need to make your own stunning wreath is included in the kit – you really only need to add your own glue gun & glue sticks!

Tomorrow I'll be working on some cards; I have 2 family birthdays to celebrate this month – my Dad and my eldest son – as well as a friend's birthday, so they are on the top of the list!

So what are you doing still reading this?!  Shouldn't you be ordering your own wreath kit?!!  No worries if you're still in your jammies – you can order online just by clicking on my name (below) or on the 'Order Now' button, or give me a call or email 604.298.0472 debsmart@shaw.ca and I can place your order for you.  Easy peasy! 🙂

Until next time – Happy Stamping!

I've always liked to create things, but I'm not a great artist, or sculptor, or any type of 'traditional' artist - but I love to create! I love the satisfaction of a completed project. Whether a card, painting or other project - as long as it can create a smile, evoke a feeling, or some type of reaction in the recipient. I hope you will enjoy sharing my creations, and occasional ramblings; I'd enjoy having you create with me! :)
