Garden In Bloom

Garden in Bloom – another retiring stamp set that I’m going to miss! If you don’t already have this stamp set, you really should add it to your collection. With it’s fun, watercolour effect 2 step stamping, it’s a perennial favourite. (did you catch that joke – it has flowers, so…perennial?!)

GARDEN IN BLOOM

Garden In Bloom

I combined several retiring products and colours in this card, in case you’re wondering which ones you should order before they’re gone!

DETAILS

Start by stamping the flower, leaves and bee images from the Garden In Bloom stamp set onto Whisper White, in Memento Black ink. Fill in the flowers with Peekaboo Peach ink for the petals, and So Saffron ink for the centers. Use Emerald Envy ink for the leaves, and Daffodil Delight for the bees. With this stamp set being photopolymer, lining up the 2 step stamps is no problem at all!

Create 2 more layers for your focal panel; one from the Petal Passion Designer Series Paper, and one from Peekaboo Peach cardstock. Layer them all together with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Create a base panel of Petal Passion DSP, and wrap a length of (retired) Peekaboo Peach ribbon around the middle. Use the Tear & Tape to hold the ribbon in place, around the back.

Finally, attach the panels together, and then onto a card base of Peekaboo Peach cardstock.

This card comes together very quickly, and is a great way to show off the images in the stamp set. You could add a sentiment to the front if you wanted, but I decided to leave it off.

INSIDE STAMP

I did decide to add a sentiment to the inside. Attach a panel of Whisper White cardstock to the inside, and stamp the sentiment in Peekaboo Peach ink.

Garden In Bloom

I actually used two of the sentiments from the Garden In Bloom stamp set, because the second one completes the first.

RETIRING PRODUCTS – ORDER NOW!

While the stamp sets are guaranteed available until May 25th, everything else is ‘while supplies last’. My advice is to not wait until the 25th to place your order – get your favourites now, before they’re gone!

I've always liked to create things, but I'm not a great artist, or sculptor, or any type of 'traditional' artist - but I love to create! I love the satisfaction of a completed project. Whether a card, painting or other project - as long as it can create a smile, evoke a feeling, or some type of reaction in the recipient. I hope you will enjoy sharing my creations, and occasional ramblings; I'd enjoy having you create with me! :)

  1. My favorite set! Those flowers are GORGEOUS! Peekaboo Peach is a close second to Coastal Cabana for “Buffy’s Favorite Color Ever.” The DSP makes the image pop, and I love that you used it under the stamped layer. It looks like the Peekaboo Peach is a frame. Awesome card, Deborah!

I love to read what you have to say! Thanks for commenting ;)
