There’s no need to wait until June 1st to order your new In Color ink pads – you can get them now!! Along with the Share What You Love Suite that can be pre-ordered, you can also order the set of 5 new In Color ink pads.
In case you missed my previous post (you can read it here), these are the new In Colors.
NEW IN COLORS
They look pretty on screen, but they’re even better in person!
NEW INK PAD STYLE
Stampin’ Up! has also reconfigured the ink pad, so it opens differently, and stacks better. Have a look at this comparison with my own new ink pads, vs. the existing ones.
See how they’re flat on the bottom? And there’s a little ‘nub’ on the bottom of the new ones, that sit nicely into the top of the one underneath, as you stack them.
The new opening style is more like opening a compact; so you don’t have to slide the lid away from you first any more; just lift up, then flip over, and snap into place. The new design can be a bit stiff when you first open them, but once you’ve opened them a few times, it’s all good. If that bothers you, some advice I’ve seen is to use a small candle to wax the inside ‘grooves’ where the lid slides. I personally haven’t had to do that, though.
SEE THE NEW COLORS IN ACTION
Okay – I’ve teased you enough! Want to see how the colours look in action? On actual cards?! Okay – here we go!!
They are, from top left to bottom right: Blueberry Bushel, Grapefruit Grove, Pineapple Punch, Lovely Lipstick and Call Me Clover. I’ll be sharing these at my new catalogue kick off party in a couple of weeks, so I made one card in each of the new In Colors. I also used the matching In Color cardstock on each card.
The stamp set I used is called Rooted in Nature – and you’re going to LOVE IT!! The trees are stamped in Crumb Cake ink; the shape behind the tree is a cross section image of a tree trunk. You’ll also love the dies that coordinate with the stamp set; they’re called Nature’s Roots Framelits, and there’s a set of 12 dies. But wait – there’s more! 3 of the 12 dies are embossing dies!!
Okay – I’m not going to spill all the beans in one post – you’ll have to come back again for some more detail sharing, and close ups of the cards 🙂 In the meantime, remember that the Retiring Products are selling out – so don’t wait until the last minute to get yours! I love the cards you make showing off the colours (please note spelling and that my spell check does not like it! Haha)!!
Thanks, Susan! And I do appreciate your effort in using ‘my’ spelling – no matter what your spell check thinks! 🙂
Oooooh! I love those cards showing off the In Colors. So cute! (So SU didn’t change the spelling for other countries? They’re still “In Colors,” not “In Colours?” Interesting…)
Glad to hear that you like my samples, Buffy! You know – I did ask Demo Support about the spelling – they said that because it’s a trademarked name, the spelling doesn’t change for the different markets!
