Hello Stampin' Friends!

I'm so excited – I just got some new racks to hold all my Stampin' Up! card stock and designer series papers!  I spent most of the afternoon sorting all my card stock into colour families, then grouping them, putting them in their new homes, and labelling each slot on the rack…it makes it so easy to see what I have, and what papers I need to order.

Tomorrow I have to finish labelling the designer series papers.  It's great that now, SU! is putting the coordinating colours on the packages, but I don't always keep the paper in the packaging – sometimes it just rips, and falls apart!  So, I want to add labels that won't get lost!

After that, I'll be putting all my clear-mount stamp cases into a tall DVD rack that I bought.  Do you believe that I had to order it on line?!  Stores just don't carry them in stock any more!  Anyway, it finally arrived, and so I need to figure out the best way to organize them.  How do you store your stamp sets?  Alphabetically?  Or by type – eg. all birthday together, all seasons, etc?  *sigh*  I have a feeling I'll be doing this more than once – trial and error, you know!

I took a picture of what I called my 'corner of shame' – where I had everything in boxes in the corner! – as a 'before' picture; when I'm finished, I'll post that and an 'after' picture!  Of course, I still have my wood mount stamps that will have to stay in my clear drawer containers, plus the punches and ribbons…..so much to organize, and so little space!

Well, enough of that!  I can't wait to  finish, so that I can get back to stamping!

I'm thinking of my upcoming Spring/Easter class…tell me, what type of cards do you prefer to give or receive at Easter time?  Do you like the bunnies, eggs, spring flowers and colours, or do you prefer the more traditional 'religious' themed cards?

Here's a couple of cards that I did for last year's Spring/Easter class – I'd love to hear what you think of the, and what type of cards you think should be included in this class.  I really do appreciate your feedback!

This is the front of this card –

And this is the inside.  I must admit – this is one of my favourites!

This is obviously a more religious themed card.

And I think that this one just says 'welcome, spring!'

Don't forget to leave your comments for me!  Thanks for stopping in – I'll talk to you again tomorrow!

Happy Stampin,

I've always liked to create things, but I'm not a great artist, or sculptor, or any type of 'traditional' artist - but I love to create! I love the satisfaction of a completed project. Whether a card, painting or other project - as long as it can create a smile, evoke a feeling, or some type of reaction in the recipient. I hope you will enjoy sharing my creations, and occasional ramblings; I'd enjoy having you create with me! :)

  1. Hi Deb,
I must admit I am a sucker for bunnies and chicks at Easter! Wow, your card is adorable…I forget, is that a tunnel card?! All of your cards are lovely! Have fun organizing your supplies! I love that challenge and it is so gratifying when it’s done! I have my stamps organized into categories and that has worked well for me, things like words and greetings, florals and nature, vintage, animals, each holiday, babies, alphabets, backgrounds, scrap booking elements, beach, etc. My punches are stored in a clear over the door shoe hanger inside a closet, and ribbon fits nicely by type into clear shoebox containers with snap lock lids. Embellishments are in a rolling cart, separated into drawers, and my go-to tools and adhesives are in a portable tote bag. I love the paper racks and know you will enjoy being so organized and finding things so easily! I can’t wait to see your before and after pics!

I love to read what you have to say! Thanks for commenting ;)
