Well, my friend – it’s that time of year again! My dining room, which is also my ‘work room’, has to revert back to its original function. We’re hosting the family Christmas dinner here again this year, so I’ve had to literally pack up ALL of my stamps, paints, inks, brushes – everything – and put it all away for now. Getting ready for Christmas is no easy task – and that doesn’t include the shopping, wrapping & cooking!
The struggle is real, my friend! What about you – do you have a dedicated craft room, or do you have to do the major migration when you have dinner guests? So, with everything put away, I will be taking a break for a few days, until at least a couple of days after Christmas.
WHAT’S COMING UP
When I return, I’ll have some fun New Year’s cards to share with you! I’ve been itching to get my watercolour paints out lately, so hopefully I’ll get something new done with them, too. On January 3rd, we’ll be having a New Year’s Blog Hop with the Scrap ‘N Stamp Design Team. This is going to be a fun, and funny one – you don’t want to miss it!
Don’t forget that our Paper Craft Crew challenge is going for 2 weeks, so you have until January 1st to create & link your card. You can see the details of the challenge, and my card, in THIS POST.
MERRY CHRISTMAS, and HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO YOU & YOURS!
Enjoy this week, however you choose to spend your time. Whether you celebrate Christmas, enjoy time by yourself or with friends or family, I hope it’s a good time for you. And remember – life isn’t a Hallmark movie, or a glossy magazine spread. It’s real life, which is often imperfect and messy, and may not live up to expectations. And that’s okay! It’s okay to feel however you feel; take time for yourself and just ‘be’. I’ll be thinking of you, and sending you warm wishes, my friend ♥
Merry Christmas, Deborah. I hope you have a great time with your family (even if you did have to pack up stamp camp!).
Thanks so much, Susan! Merry Christmas to you and your family, too 🙂
Merry Christmas! Hope you have a wonderful holiday. I have a dedicated craft room, but it’s a MESS! My dining room table, though, is my office desk, so I’ll have to clear off bills, cards to blog, ideas for classes and meetings, and my laptop for at least a few hours while we eat. (Although, we could use tray tables…No. No, we can’t. Not for Christmas.) My craft room, however, is a disaster. That’s where all the gifts are (so the cats can’t tear the paper or take up residence in bags). Looking forward to cleaning it up and getting back to work!
It seems that there’s no real ‘winner’ in the holidays as far as crafting goes, does it Buffy?! Oh well – think of it as an forced vacation, and enjoy! Merry Christmas to you & your family! 🙂
