For today’s project, I’m featuring a brand new Memory Box stamp & die combination. It’s called Harvest Love, and the large focal image is gorgeous! You can use this through fall into winter. Change up the colours you use, and it can even be used in spring! It also has fabulous large sentiments, and a few smaller ones.

Isn’t that huge leafy bouquet just amazing?!

I wanted to use the entire images, so I decided to make a tri-fold card. To do this, create a card base measuring 11″ x 4 1/4″. Score at 2 3/4″ and 5 1/2″.  Fold the base in half (left side over right) at the 5 1/2″ score line. Next, fold backwards (right to left) on the 2 3/4″ score line. This allows your base to open & close sorta like an accordion!

Set up a separate piece of white cardstock and the large image stamp in your stamp platform. Cover the stamp in Versamark ink, and stamp firmly onto the cardstock. Repeat this one more time, to be sure you have full ink coverage. Next, remove the cardstock, and cover the stamping in Copper embossing powder. Set the powder with a heat tool. Now, get ready to colour the images!

I new I wanted to created blended colours, so first I ‘smooshed’ several distress oxide inks onto my Wendy Vecchi Stay-tion, using it as a palette. Here’s what that looked like, below.

The Stay-tion is perfect to use as a palette, as it just wipes clean! Next, I picked up the ink colours with a water brush, and painted the stamped & embossed image.  I also stamped a few separate leaves in Nocturne ink, and painted them. Once complete, use the coordinating dies with a Big Shot to die cut all of the images.  Now, cut your cardstock layers for card base, including a piece of white cardstock for the largest back piece. On that piece, stamp the sentiment in Versamark ink, and cover it with the same copper embossing powder. Set it with a heat tool, and then glue down all of your layers. Add the large die cut image to the card front, and the smaller leaves on the inside.  Finally, scatter some Picket Fence Studios Candy Corn Shot sequins all through the card. This is how the card looks when it’s open.

I've always liked to create things, but I'm not a great artist, or sculptor, or any type of 'traditional' artist - but I love to create! I love the satisfaction of a completed project. Whether a card, painting or other project - as long as it can create a smile, evoke a feeling, or some type of reaction in the recipient. I hope you will enjoy sharing my creations, and occasional ramblings; I'd enjoy having you create with me! :)
