I'm back – I'm finally back!!
I can barely remember my 'pre-computer' life, but I'm sure it wasn't as painful as the past 2 weeks I have spent without my computer!! Oh. My. Goodness. Seriously, the way we come to depend on these big electronic boxes to share information, get in touch with people, find out information, even entertain ourselves with silly games (Solitaire, I've missed you! LOL) it's unreal. I mean; how am I to blog about not having access to my computer – if I don't have my computer?! How do I tell you 'don't worry – I'll be back'!!?
So to you, my faithful Stampin' Friend have repeatedly returned, only to find no updated posts in the last 2 weeks – I heartily apologize! And to make it up to you, I'd like to offer some BLOG CANDY to the FIRST 3 PEOPLE TO COMMENT on this post (please – you must be within Canada). It will be a surprise, but I promise it'll be a good surprise! 🙂 It's my way to say THANK YOU for hanging in here with me, and coming back to read my posts!
I have so much posting to catch up on!! My goodness, I was trying to figure out where to start – so I figured I'd start from current, and go backwards until I'm all caught up. Of course, I'll share with you any specials that are announced during this time of 'recap'.
Just this past Friday my Technique Junquies had our second meeting – more ink, more fun! 🙂 This time we did the Emboss Resist, and Embossing Folder Stamping techniques.
Here's the final product, combining both techniques – what do you think?
I don't know about you, but I'm in Love with this card!! And the Club members loved theirs, too! In my card here, I used Lost Lagoon and Mossy Meadow for the background with the Hexagon embossing folder, and Blackberry Bliss, Lost Lagoon, Hello Honey and Tangelo Twist on the flowers and butterfly. I embossed using SU! Silver embossing powder, to coordinate with the SU! Silver Baker's Twine. The sentiment is from the new set "Choose Happiness", and I inked the words with Lost Lagoon marker and 'flair' in Hello Honey.
Before putting the card together, everyone first tried out different embossing folders for the technique, so we could see some different looks.
Which one do you like the best?
Here are some of the ladies, having fun gettin' inky with the Embossing Folder Stamping Technique!
Lynn (back) and Debbie (front) perfecting their technique 🙂
Amanda is finished inking and spritzing – now to tamping it down!
Are you ready to see the finished cards? They're gorgeous!! Everyone put their personal touch on their own cards, and they did an amazing job 🙂
Amanda chose the Mosaic embossing folder, and added Strawberry Slush ink! Yummy!
Lynn chose the beautiful Lacy Brocade embossing folder (so sad it's retired!), and also added some Strawberry Slush to her Blackberry Bliss (hungry yet?!)
Debbie used the Hexagon embossing folder, and used both the ink daubers and markers on her emboss resist. Beautiful!
Susan is over-the-moon with her card; and I agree! Love the addition of the extra Flower Shop large flower.
That was our fun-filled Friday evening – after enjoying some refreshing beverages and snacks, of course! I always look forward to getting together with this group of lovely ladies – such fun, and we all get along so well! Thanks again, Lynn, Susan, Amanda and Debbie! See you again at our next Technique Junquies meeting on July 18th!
