Woohoo!!  We had lots of fun at my New Catalogue Kick Off Party this past Sunday, thanks to my wonderful friends and customers!

I know that not everyone was able to attend, so if you didn’t have someone pick up a catalogue for you, just send me an email or give me a phone call, and I’ll arrange to get one to you.

We started off with everyone having a look at the display table as they came in, as well as the cards and samples of products:

You can see that right up front, taking centre stage, are the new In Colours!  They are gorgeous – and even better when you see them in person!  In case you’ve been on another planet, or lost your internet connection for the past month and haven’t already seen them,, the new colours are – from top left to bottom right – Dapper Denim, Emerald Envy, Sweet Sugarplum, Flirty Flamingo and Peekaboo Peach.

To celebrate these amazing new colours, I’m offering a special class:

 Class will include:

  • 1 each of the 5 new In Colour Ink Pads (Dapper Denim, Emerald Envy, Peekaboo Peach and Flirty Flamingo)
  • 5 Cards plus envelopes to be completed in class – 1 card each to feature each new In Colour
  • Special Colour Combination Chart – showing possible colour combinations for each new In Colour, combining the new and existing colours in all of the colour families.

Class Cost: $45*

*(regular cost for just the set of 5 ink pads, plus tax & shipping = $50.27)

Class Date*: Friday, June 17th 7:00 pm (or alternatively Sunday June 26th 2:00 pm)

*Class Date(s) are flexible, depending on participants schedules

Prepayment must be made so that Ink Pads can be ordered on June 1st.

Here is a picture of the 5 cards that we’ll be making in class; you can see in the picture above the colour charts on the right hand side of the display board:

This offer is only valid from June 1st – June 30th, 2016, and only through me!  If you want to sign up, please send me an email at debsmart@shaw.ca, or call me at 604.298.0472 with  your payment information.

If you don’t live close enough to attend the class, but would like to take advantage of this great offer, send me an email, and I can order the ink pads for you, and mail you the colour charts, the cards and envelopes, plus instructions for stamping, all for the same cost – I just can’t do the actual stamping for you.  *(you must live within Canada for this offer)*

When everyone had arrived, each person received their own New Catalogue Survival Kit in a bag that I had decorated using the retired Botanicals for You stamp set.  This is what the bags looked like, and what was in the survival kits:

Then we played a New Catalogue Scavenger Hunt, where everyone had to find the answers to questions by looking through their catalogues for the answers.  The 4 people with the most correct answers won prizes of Stampin’ Spots, Glue Sticks and Doilies.  Here’s a picture of some of the ladies, working hard on locating the answers:

Next, we had fun playing a ‘Left-Right-Left’ game, where I handed out 2 wrapped gifts, and each time I said the words ‘left’ or ‘right’ while telling a story, the gifts had to be passed in that direction.  There were a few tense moments, as everyone wanted to hang onto the presents as long as they could!  In the end, it was Debbie P. who won the #imbringingbirthdaysback stamp, and Colleen K. who won the Artistically Amazing stamp set.  Here are the lucky winners:

The next part of the fun was the Make & Take, which used the fun new Painter’s Palette stamp set, Playful Palette Designer Series Paper, and some new ink colours:

The easel was stamped directly onto the Whisper White cardstock in Soft Suede ink, then the strip of DSP laid across the middle.  The brush strokes images from the Painter’s Palette set were then stamped on using Emerald Envy and Flirty Flamingo ink.  The sentiment was stamped in Emerald Envy ink onto a square of Whisper White, then the brushstrokes stamped on in Peekaboo Peach.  (everyone did their own thing when it came to which colours they wanted to use, and how much – that’s what’s great about this set – artistic license!)  The sentiment was then attached over the easel using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Of course, we had to decorate the inside of the card as well!

The ‘happy birthday’ is from the Tin of Cards stamp set, and then we added more brushstrokes in Emerald Envy and Flirty Flamingo inks.

I certainly hope everyone had as much fun as I did; it was worth all the work getting ready for the party!  Unfortunately, I forgot to  take a picture of the table with all the goodies; we had a fruit punch and coffee, plus Red Velvet cupcakes, Cream Puffs, Eclairs, Fruit Platter, and crackers & baguettes with 3 different kinds of spreads.   I think everyone went home feeling happy, as well as full! 🙂

Remember – the New Catalogue GOES LIVE TOMORROW, JUNE 1st – if you’d like to order any of the products shown in this post, you can click on the image(s) below, and you’ll be taken to my online store where you can place your order, or contact me directly and I’ll be happy to place your order for you, and answer any questions you may have.  Also – my Special Offer Class for the In Colour Ink Pads is only available from June 1st – 30th, so take advantage not only of the awesome price, but all the extras you get with the class!

I hope you enjoyed seeing some pictures of the fun we had at my Kick-Off Party; if you live in the area, and would like to attend any of my events, just send me an email, or sign up for my newsletter, and then you’ll be in the know for the next event!

Until next time – happy stamping!

I've always liked to create things, but I'm not a great artist, or sculptor, or any type of 'traditional' artist - but I love to create! I love the satisfaction of a completed project. Whether a card, painting or other project - as long as it can create a smile, evoke a feeling, or some type of reaction in the recipient. I hope you will enjoy sharing my creations, and occasional ramblings; I'd enjoy having you create with me! :)

I love to read what you have to say! Thanks for commenting ;)
