Lavinia Dream-Scape Papers

Hello my friend! I have a new (to me) product to share with you! I recently ordered some new paper for backgrounds, which I haven’t done in a long time. But I couldn’t resist, because they’re so beautiful. They are the Lavinia Dream-Scape Papers; I bought the Colour Burst Collection, which is a 8″ x 8″ pad. This pad contains 30 double-sided sheets of 10 gorgeous designs.

DREAM-SCAPE PAPERS

What’s unique about these papers is how they’re made! Prints created by Lavinia artists using techniques with alcohol inks, ink blending, stencils and more. These vibrant backgrounds are then scanned digitally and printed on 150 gsm premium matte card giving you a base to stamp on. Perfect for greeting cards, and big enough to frame!  Now, if you’ve been following my blog for a while, you know that I love creating  with alcohol inks. These Dream-Scape Papers do some of the work for me, when I don’t have time to create my own backgrounds!

QUICK HELLO CARD

I’ve been running a bit behind schedule this week, with other projects on the go. So I chose one of the gorgeous papers, and created this quick card!

I just love the colour combinations that are used, in these pretty papers.

CARD DETAILS

Choose the pattern paper you like, and cut it to 3 3/4″ x 5″. Attach it with foam tape to a 4″ x 5 1/4″ coordinating cardstock. Next, glue that directly to your card base. I chose colours in a dusty pink and dark blue. On a piece of Vellum, stamp the image from the Studio Katia Flourishing Note stamp set in Versamark ink. Next, cover the image with gold embossing powder, and then heat set.  Use the matching Flourishing Notes dies to die cut the image, and the ‘hello’ from gold foil paper.

Attach the image and sentiment die cuts with liquid glue to the card front. Add a small hand-tied bow to the bottom middle of the envelope.  That’s how easy & quickly this card comes together!

SUPPLIES

If you don’t need a whole pad of paper, you can get gorgeous Lavinia Cards, as well. They are different designs, but are the same high quality digitally printed papers, in card format.  You can see what’s available in the Scrap ‘N Stamp store HERE. (That’s where I ordered my paper pad from).

I've always liked to create things, but I'm not a great artist, or sculptor, or any type of 'traditional' artist - but I love to create! I love the satisfaction of a completed project. Whether a card, painting or other project - as long as it can create a smile, evoke a feeling, or some type of reaction in the recipient. I hope you will enjoy sharing my creations, and occasional ramblings; I'd enjoy having you create with me! :)
