It’s Monday, once again! I guess we shouldn’t complain – being able to see the start of a new week is a good thing, right? Honestly, I have to admit, that my heart is hurting for what’s going on in the world right now, especially America, and spilling into Canada. I won’t dwell on that here, except to say this; my hope is that if you SEE something wrong, you will SAY something, and if you can, DO something about it. It’s up to us to be the changes that are needed in this world. With my heart hurting, I’ve been looking for a rainbow. Not seeing one, I decided to create a rainbow of colour of my own.
LOOKING FOR A RAINBOW
It’s not the ‘traditional’ rainbow colours, but they’re some of my favourites!
Start with a piece of white cardstock. Take the Hero Arts MMH Reactive Ink Palette (it was in the December 2019 Kit), and swipe the ink pad across the paper. The 2 bottom colours didn’t ‘swipe’ very dark, so I moved the ink pad down, and swiped again. Now, lightly mist the panel with water. Next, line up the panel and the Picket Fence Studios Early Tulip Bouquet image & sentiment in the MISTI. Apply Versafine Imperial Purple ink to the tulips and sentiment, and stamp.
Next, layer your card panel onto a piece of purple cardstock with foam tape, and then glue it onto a green card base. Finish off the card with some gold puffy heart embellishments.
I chose that particular sentiment, to remind myself of what to look for, amidst all that’s going wrong. There are still a lot of good people in the world; we just have to make sure that the good succeeds.
I hope that your day looks a bit brighter now, if you to have been looking for a rainbow! Find time to create, to express yourself, and share the positive with others.
