Well, here we are again – the start of another week!

Today I mailed out my last of the 12 Weeks of Christmas tutorials – have you been receiving yours?  They were emailed every Monday for the last 12 weeks, to everyone who signed up for my newsletter.  If you missed any, or all of them and would like to catch up, just send me a quick email with your contact info (just click on the ‘contact Deb’ button to the left side there), and I’ll send them off to you!

So, starting next week I will get back to my ‘regular’ newsletters; with the weekly deals, tips & tricks for stamping, and sharing my class schedules, etc. with you, along with any other ‘juicy bits’ of info I can pass along! 🙂

If you haven’t signed up, just fill out the form that pops up; don’t worry – I respect your privacy, and never share my mailing list with anyone!  If you think a friend would be interested, just send them the link to my blog, and they can sign up!

I thought I’d share the rest of the cards that we made at my Christmas card Buffet a couple of weekends ago; my good friend Susan was just here yesterday making hers, which reminded me that I hadn’t finished sharing with you!

ornamental pine

This set is stamped using the retired Ornamental Pine stamp set; I just couldn’t give it up when it retired last year!  The pine branch is stamped in Mossy Meadow ink onto Whisper White cardstock, with the sentiment in Real Red below it.

To add depth to the card, I stamped one of the ornaments directly onto the card front in Real Red ink; the other ornament and the 2 pine cones were stamped separately, cut out and mounted onto the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I then added some glimmer to the card using the Wink of Stella clear Glitter pen – you’re going to love this item when you can order it next month!  It makes it so easy to a just a touch of glitter to your project.

The panel was sponged around the edges with a Sponge Dauber and Mossy Meadow ink, then mounted onto a panel of paper from the Merry Moments Designer Series Paper pack.  The whole thing was then attached to a card base of Mossy Meadow cardstock.

This focal point on this next card may surprise you – it’s made using the Festive Flower Builder Punch!

flower builder punch angel

The angel is made, as I said, using the Festive Flower Builder Punch – I’ve used it many times to make gorgeous Poinsettia and other flowers!  The angel’s body is made by punch 1 of the largest petals/leaves from Gold Foil Paper; the wings are punched from the Winter Wonderland Designer Vellum Stack, and also punched from the largest petal/leaf.  The head is made using the 1″ Circle Punch, and the halo was made by first punching with the 3/4″ Circle Punch, then punching around that with the 1″ Circle Punch.  All of the pieces are put together using Glue Dots, then the small bow – which is actually one of the centre petals from the punch – is made by curling the petals backwards using the Bone Folder, then holding it together using Glue Dots, and attaching it to the angel.

The angel is attached using Stampin’ Dimensionals to a piece of Merry Moments DSP, cut using the Ovals Framelits.  A larger Oval of Gold Glimmer paper is layered under that, and then attached to a panel of Cherry Cobbler cardstock that was wound with 3 loops of Gold Cording Trim.  The corners were punched using the new Curvy Corner Trio Punch, and then mounted onto a Cherry Cobbler card base.  When the card was made during the Card Buffet, I switched up the Cherry Cobbler panel for a Very Vanilla panel, which showed up the punched detail much better!

The sentiment was stamped in Versamark ink, then heat embossed with Gold Embossing Powder, on a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock.  It, and another piece of Gold Glimmer Paper were die cut using the Tags & Labels framelits, and attached to the card front using Dimensionals.

I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing the cards – thanks for spending some time with me today!  I just today finally finished writing out the last of my Christmas cards – have you finished yours, yet?

I’ll be back later this evening with the new Weekly Deals that start tomorrow; in the meantime, don’t forget about the fabulous YEAR END CLEARANCE SALE that’s going on right now!  Did you know – the items retiring from the Holiday Catalogue are on sale at 40% Off?!  That’s right!  Plus, you can get deals up to 60% Off – that’s definitely worth a look!  Just click on my name below, and you’ll be taken directly to my online store.

Until next time – happy stamping!

I've always liked to create things, but I'm not a great artist, or sculptor, or any type of 'traditional' artist - but I love to create! I love the satisfaction of a completed project. Whether a card, painting or other project - as long as it can create a smile, evoke a feeling, or some type of reaction in the recipient. I hope you will enjoy sharing my creations, and occasional ramblings; I'd enjoy having you create with me! :)

I love to read what you have to say! Thanks for commenting ;)
