Hello Stamping Friends!
Well, it is that time of year for Christmas cards & projects, isn't it?! I hope you all enjoyed the Wacky Watercooler Year End Blog Hop – thanks so much for stopping by and having a look – and the wonderful comments 🙂 I just love receiving comments; they make my day! They also make me feel that yes, there are people out there who do stop to read and look at what I'm up to. I hope you enjoyed the creative projects posted by the wonderfully talented demonstrators from around the globe, and got some ideas for your own holiday projects.
Yesterday I had a table at a local craft fair, which went well. I always enjoy seeing what everyone else has created – there's so much talent in the world; painting, knitting, sewing, glass making – gosh, it's wonderful! I still have another craft fair coming up in early December, which is a 2 day affair, so I have to replenish some of my stock, and make some new projects that I wanted to do, but ran out of time.
In the meantime, I thought I'd share some cards that I did have ready.
Aren't these cute? They were so quick to pull together! And to think I almost didn't make them – you see, the focal point on both of them is from the Seasons of Style Designer Journaling Tags (#132808 $5.95 Holiday Catalogue), which I almost passed up, thinking "well, I don't 'do' journaling"! Then I happened to see on our demonstrator only website that another demo had taken some of the tags and made cards from them – well, how brilliant was that?! One of the main things I love about Stampin' Up! is how they always make coordinating products – this tag set coordinates perfectly with the Sesaons of Style Designer Series Paper Stack (#132181 $8.50) – and of course there's the Cherry Cobbler ribbon to 'wrap it up'! (bad pun – sorry!)
These next cards took a bit more work, but not too much. I just love using the Sponge Daubers to create soft backgrounds, and the snowfall is actually from the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set (#130517 $21.95 cm/#130514 $30.95 wm). How's that for a versatile set?
I used the Whisper White Craft Ink (#101731 $9.25) for the snowfall, and added snow on the trees (from Lovely as a Tree, of course!) using the uni-ball Signo Gel Pen (#105021 $5.25). The sentiments are both from the More Merry Messages stamp set that was carried over from last year – yay! – it's not in the catalogue, but you can order it online (or through me) (#126402 $30.95cm/#126400 $40.95wm).
I hope you liked seeing these cards; I am behind on taking pictures of my projects, but I'll do my best to get caught up! Along with re-stocking for the next craft fair, I'm prepping for 2 days of Christmas Stamp a Stack this weekend 🙂 I'm looking forward to seeing my wonderful group of ladies, and a couple of new friends!
Remember to check back tomorrow for the Weekly Deals, and again on Wednesday to see what's on sale for the annual Holiday Sale!!
Until tomorrow – happy stamping!
