Hello Stamping Friends!

In this case, I'm talking Festive Flurries of the stamped kind; no snow for us here, right now!  The weather report is calling for snowfall tomorrow evening into Friday morning – that'll throw a wrench into the morning commute!  That's one perk of working from home – no commute!  Of course, I do drive my son to & from school, but it's not too far away, and I can pretty much stick to main roads.

A crafting group that I belong to, and the coordinator, Karen, has been running a series of questions for us all month; yesterday's question was 'would you prefer a snowy Christmas?'  I think the majority of us voted for snow – even if just for the one day!  There's just something magical about snow, isn't there?  The way the whole world seems calm and quiet, and most everyone seems in a better mood.  What do you prefer – snow, or no snow?

So here's today's offering of snow – I used this season's Festive Flurry stamp set (#131781 $36.95cm/#131778 $48.95wm) and the coordinating Festive Flurry Framelits Dies (#132193 $30.95).  Did you know you can bundle these two sets and save 15%? That's right – bundle and save!  You can order in either clear mount (#133285 $57.95) or wood mount (#133284 $67.95) and get both the stamp set & Framelits set.  I can't tell you how much I have used them this season!!  Everyone I know, just loves them, too.

This project is dual-purpose; it's a card, and an ornament!  You can see that I did 3 layers of snowflakes for the ornament, and another layer on the card, so that when the ornament is removed, you still have a lovely card!  The 1/8" Silver Ribbon (#132137 $6.95) is the perfect embellishment, as well as acting as the ornament hanger.

You can see that once again I used my favourite colour combination for the season; Coastal Cabana, Island Indigo, Pool Party and Smoky Slate.  Which of course match perfectly with the Winter Frost Specialty DSP (#132341 $15.95).  I can't say it enough – Stampin' Up! is so good at doing the coordinating for us, it's so easy to look like a pro, no matter how long you've been crafting! 🙂

The sentiment 'Oh What Fun' is from the Christmas Messages set (#131793 $25.95cm/#131790 $35.95wm).  I like how the Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder (#132174 $9.95) gives that feeling of movement, for the snowflakes.

I'll be sharing with you the list of Holiday stamp sets and coordinating punches/dies tomorrow, but I want to warn you – there isn't a lot, so if you want to get your Holiday favourite before it's gone – get your order in before January 2nd, 2014, because that's when the Holiday Catalogue ends!

To place your order – yes, even during the holidays – just call or email me (604.298.0472 debsmart@shaw.ca ) and I'll take care of it for you.  Or, if you're a midnight shopper – no worries – my online store is open 24/7, just for you!

I hope you enjoyed today's card!  I'll see you again tomorrow – Happy Stamping!

I've always liked to create things, but I'm not a great artist, or sculptor, or any type of 'traditional' artist - but I love to create! I love the satisfaction of a completed project. Whether a card, painting or other project - as long as it can create a smile, evoke a feeling, or some type of reaction in the recipient. I hope you will enjoy sharing my creations, and occasional ramblings; I'd enjoy having you create with me! :)

I love to read what you have to say! Thanks for commenting ;)
