Hello stamping friends!

I’m back from a weekend away; my youngest son & I went down to Portland for the weekend, to do some shopping 🙂  I haven’t been down to Portland in more years than I care to admit to, so it was like a new adventure for both of us.

I had grand plans of getting off I-5 once we hit Oregon, and taking the scenic route down the Pacific Coast Highway.  I just love the gorgeous West Coast and the water views, so I was looking forward to that.  Unfortunately, the traffic put an end to that plan!  It was so bad, that it added almost 2 hours onto our trip – so I just couldn’t bear the thought (nor could my driving leg bear the extended drive) by heading over to the Coast. 🙁   Oh, well – I’ll have to do that on another trip, another time!

We did have a good time; the hotel we stayed at, Hotel Eastlund was very nice; everything very new & posh, and the service was wonderful.  The staff were all very friendly, and the 2 restaurants were fabulous.  While we were having dinner on the patio of the upstairs restaurant (the Altabira), a sky-writing plane started writing a message right above us!  First he wrote the word “more”, then as we all pondered that, he came back and wrote “moon?” – complete with question mark.  No one had any idea what that meant – perhaps it was the pilot’s private joke, because then he came back, and drew a big happy face!  Here’s a picture of that:

Or perhaps he was just welcoming us to Portland!?!  😉  Anyway, it was a good way to start the weekend!

So now I’m back, and ready to dive into work!  I’m working on my schedule of classes for the next several months, and would like to include classes based on the many wonderful Kits that are in the Annual catalogue – and there are some great ones in the upcoming Holiday catalogue, too!

I’d really like your input – what kind of projects do you want to make, at this time of the year?  Are you looking for all-occasion cards, like in the Tin of Cards kit, Watercolour Wishes or Cottage Greetings Card Kit?  How about some 3D gift/decor kits, like the All Boxed Up, Sweet Stack, or Build a Banner Kits?  Perhaps a ‘giftable’ kit that the recipient could make themselves, like the Perpetual Calendar or the Hello Life Project Kits.

Of course, as I said there are kits in the upcoming Holiday catalogue – like the Witching Decor witch’s hat that I featured a few posts back, and some kits for cards and/or tags – sorry I can’t show them to you yet!

If you’d like to take another look at these kits, just CLICK HERE to see them all – click on ‘Project Kits’ and then ‘Other Kits’ – I’d like to hear which ones YOU want to make!  Just click on ‘Leave a Comment’ at the top of this post (next to the title), and leave me a comment telling me which is your favourite.  I’ll be sure to answer you!

I’ll be back tomorrow to share with you the new Weekly Deals; right now I’m finishing off my card for the upcoming Paper Craft Crew challenge.  Have you submitted a card for this week’s challenge?!  C’mon & join the fun 🙂

Until next time – happy stamping!

I've always liked to create things, but I'm not a great artist, or sculptor, or any type of 'traditional' artist - but I love to create! I love the satisfaction of a completed project. Whether a card, painting or other project - as long as it can create a smile, evoke a feeling, or some type of reaction in the recipient. I hope you will enjoy sharing my creations, and occasional ramblings; I'd enjoy having you create with me! :)

I love to read what you have to say! Thanks for commenting ;)
