If there’s one thing I love about the paper crafting industry, it’s that there is ALWAYS something new coming out! And when Tim Holtz puts his creative mind together with the folks at Ranger, you just know that it’s going to be new and noteworthy. If you’re into paper crafts or mixed media, I think you’ll love the new Distress Foundry Wax.
NEW DISTRESS FOUNDRY WAX
It may look like alcohol ink, because it’s in the same type of bottle. But it’s definitely, totally, completely different. If you like gilding wax, but also want the shine & luster of a foil – the Distress Foundry Wax is going to be your new go-to. These new waxes are heat activated, and come in 4 basic metallic colours. They come in 2 kits; one kit includes Gilded & Mined; the other has Sterling & Statue. Tim has stated that these are the only 4 colours they will be available in – because they’re meant to be metallic.
Here’s the video by Tim Holtz, showing how to use the Foundry Wax, and all of the different surfaces it can be used on.
It is a long video (2 hours) so the high points are – it’s heat activated, it contains metallic leafing properties, and you can use it on paper, resin pieces, and metal.
