Hello, Stamping Friends!
Woo hoo – wasn't that a party?! Thanks to my wonderful friends and clients (really, you're one and the same!) for making my Kick-Off party a success! We had a great time on Friday evening, checking out the newest products from the Annual Catalogue that will go "live" on June 2nd.
There were project samples to look at, new stamp sets and other products to see & try, Make & Takes, a catalogue Scavenger Hunt, prizes and of course goodies to eat! It was wonderful to also have 2 of my INKcredibly Creative Crew members with me; Debbie Pollastretti and Jean Braun were both able to attend (as they live in the area); Carri McMullen – we missed you!!
Jean was kind enough to bring her lap top, and set up a demonstration of how to use Stampin' Up!'s My Digital Studio (MDS), which is the digital (computer) program for creating scrapbooks, cards, and just about any other media you can think of to print! It was great to have it set up, so that everyone could see in 'real time' how easy the system is to use.
Everyone was given a catalogue Scavenger Hunt to do – you had to read the question, then find the answer within the catalogue – what a great way to find out new products, and learn new things about the products! Don't worry – it was easy – I even gave the page number's where the answers could be found! It was supposed to be a fun time, not a hard test! 🙂
Believe it or not – I was so busy having fun, talking to everyone and showing off the new products that I took hardly any pictures!! 🙁 Silly me – but here, I'll share what pictures I did take 🙂
Here are Robyn and Grace, working on their Scavenger Hunt.
I had such fun using the new stamp set called "Num-Num" to make these cute tags! Perfect for the cake pops (and thank goodness for my son Jarod, who helped me get them made in time!)
This is one of the Make & Take cards; we used the Perfect Pennants stamp set that is carrying over to the new catalogue (yay!), and some of the Watercolour Wonder DSP that is retiring (*sniff*). The colours used are Tangerine Tango and Daffodil Delight, with the cardstock in Tangerine Tango and Whisper White. The Scallop Tag-Topper Punch was used for the top of the sentiment tag.
Here Jean (left) and Debbie (right) check out the My Digital Studio program.
Just in case you thought we were all about the sweets – look – veggies!! LOL Lots of fresh peppers, tomatoes, and carrots & celery in their own cups with hummus or ranch dip. Yumm!
This is the other Make & Take card; I just love the new Work of Art stamp set and In Colours! The cardstock base is the new Hello Honey, and Blackberry Bliss was used for the small panel under the sentiment, and the ribbon (which is so silky, it's unreal!). The DSP is from the Moonlight Paper Stack – it almost looks like we stamped it ourselves, doesn't it? But nope – we stamped the sentiment to coordinate with the DSP! That's one of the best features of Stampin' Up! products, for me – it's the coordination of the stamps, papers and inks.
Well, that's all the pictures I have, so you'll have to take my word for it – we had fun! I'll take some pictures of the bookmarks I made for everyone – and be sure to check out my Upcoming Classes page and Product Shares pages in the next couple of days – I'll be updating those as well.
Remember that there's only a couple of days left to order from the current catalogue and the Occasions catalogue, not to mention the Retiring Products List! Be sure to get your favourite retiring products, while you can!
Thanks again, friends for coming to my party, and having fun 🙂 It means a lot to me, and I appreciate you!
Until next time – Happy Stamping!
