Welcome back, Stampin' Friends!

I hope you enjoyed yesterday's post, with the pictures from my Sneak Peek Open House!

If you live in my area (Burnaby/Tri-Cities) and want to have your own new 2013-2014 Stampin' Up! Catalogue to drool over – I mean, read! , give me a call or email, and we can arrange to get one to  you.

So, yesterday I promised that I'd show you some pictures of the cards I made with the new products.  Well, here they are!

First up is the new 'Chalk Talk' stamp set.  The great news is that this stamp set  (item #130634 $22.95 cm/#130631 $31.95 wm) comes with matching framelits – and you can Bundle & Save!!  You can bundle the clear mount with the Framelits for only $45.75 (item #132730) or wood mount for $53.50 (item #132731) for a 15% savings!  Definitely worth saving all that time in fussy cutting, if you ask me!

Here again you see the fabulous Crisp Cantaloupe card stock, paired with Crumb Cake and Basic Black.  The sentiment was stamped on the Black card stock with Versamark, then heat embossed with White embossing powder.  I rubbed my finger onto the ink pad to create some 'chalk-like' smudges, and used a white pencil crayon to do the finer details in each corner.  The embellishments are made with the terrific new 'Simply Pressed Clay' (item #130685 $8.95) and the new 'Buttons & Blossoms' Simply Pressed Clay Molds (item #131272 $9.95 for 2 sets of molds)  For the larger flower, I added the Crisp Cantaloupe re-inker to the clay, kneaded it until it was worked in and I had the shade I wanted, then popped it into the mold.  The smaller flower I left white (which is the natural colour of the clay), then when I took it out of the mold, I simply pressed it on the top of the Crisp Cantaloupe ink pad!  You can also use markers, glitter…whatever your imagination can come up with! when playing with this clay….I have LOTS more experimenting to do 🙂

Do you like Washi Tape?  Did you think it was just for taping things prettily into place?

Not anymore!!  I stamped this image from 'Serene Silhouettes' stamp set (item #127324 $21.95 cm/#132073 $30.95 wm) in StazOn Black, on top of the new "Gingham Garden Designer Washi Tape" (item #129314 $6.50, 3 designs).  How cool is that?  And yes, of course the Gingham Garden Washi Tape comes with matching Designer Series Paper! (item #129310 $13.50)

Okay, I'm going to save a couple more new product cards until tomorrow – I'm just trying to give you something to look forward to!

Before I go, I will share one of the 'treats' that all my Open  House guests enjoyed – these water bottles with the cute 'hangers' on them!

Makes you want water, whether you really want it or not, doesn't it?! LOL  Everyone just loved the little 'bottle hangers' so much, I promised them that I would print the instructions, and include them with their orders!

In each 'hanger' was a Nestea drink mix, along with every crafter's favourite – a Cadbury chocolate bar!  The perfect companion while you're drooling over – er, reading through – your new Stampin' Up! catalogue!

I've always liked to create things, but I'm not a great artist, or sculptor, or any type of 'traditional' artist - but I love to create! I love the satisfaction of a completed project. Whether a card, painting or other project - as long as it can create a smile, evoke a feeling, or some type of reaction in the recipient. I hope you will enjoy sharing my creations, and occasional ramblings; I'd enjoy having you create with me! :)

I love to read what you have to say! Thanks for commenting ;)
