Thank you so much to everyone who came out on Saturday, and had fun at my Open House Party! It was wonderful to make some new friends, and spend time chatting and stamping with everyone!
I’m really trying to remember to invite everyone to share in the fun & enjoyment of doing what I do, as a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator. I sometimes forget that it’s nice to be specifically asked if you’d like to join my team – I take it for granted that you know I’d love to have you join, and I forget that not everyone knows what’s included in being not only a member of my team, but being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator.
So, I spent a bit of time talking about that at my party; if you weren’t able to come, but would like me to share information with you, please just drop me an email, or call me – my contact info is 604.298.0472, email firstname.lastname@example.org – I’m always happy to spend time talking with you, and seeing if this experience fits what you’re looking for in your life. So even if you’re just questioning – give me a call! 🙂
We played a fun game called ‘My Private Island’, where everyone closes their eyes, and I tell them what to draw on the paper that they’ve been given; the tricky part is that in between drawing, you have to lift your pen from the page, and hold it in front of your nose. Well, that may not seem like a big deal – but doing that makes you lose your perspective on where the last thing you drew on your page, may be! So it was quite funny at the end to see how the drawings turned out! Everyone received a prize, no matter how it looked 🙂
This is the card that was for the Make & Take:
When planning a Make & Take, I like to make sure that it’s fairly quick & simple, but I still want everyone to have a chance to use several inks, stamps, and a couple of tools.
We used one of my favourite sets from the Annual Catalogue, called Everything Eleanor, for the swirl pattern and the flower images. The butterfly is stamped from the Papillion Potpourri stamp set (another of my fav’s), and punched using the Elegant Butterfly punch. The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Banners stamp set, and cut out using the Big Shot and the matching Bitty Banners Framelits Dies.
I love the Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper we used – I pulled the colours from it, in the inks we used; Blackberry Bliss, Crushed Curry and Rose Red. The card base is Old Olive card stock; the ribbon is Crushed Curry from the Best Year Ever Accessory Pack from the Sale-a-bration brochure.
Well, we were having so much fun, that I forgot to bring out my camera, until some people had already left, and the rest were getting ready to leave! Thank goodness my wonderful customer Lynn K. reminded me, and I got a quick shot, before the end of the party.
Here’s the picture I got:
Left to right are Hwei-shen, Barbara, Grace and Lynn! They’re standing in front of one of my display tables; I forgot to take a picture of those, too! (I had 2 display tables, with another one for stamping, and goodies in the kitchen).
Remember – time is running out on Sale-a-bration – your time to earn FREE product on every $60 order. Another way to earn more free items during SAB is to host your own party! With a party total of $330, you’ll get not just the usual $55 hostess money to spend, but you’ll also get AN EXTRA $35 to spend!!
Contact me to book your party before the end of the month for extra goodies, to place an order, or to join my team! I’m looking forward to talking to you!
Tomorrow I’ll be back with another post for the Creative Blog Hop – see you then!
