Welcome to the Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge PCC290. This week we have a great sketch for you to use as your inspiration. Have a look:
PCC290 Sketch Challenge
Remember that the sketch is your inspiration; you can change the focal shape to a different one, if you want. That’s what I did for my card!
PAINTER’S PALETTE
I’ve had this Painter’s Palette stamp set since it first arrived, and now it will be retired at the end of this month. I also used a couple of retiring colours; Sweet Sugarplum and Rose Red.
DETAILS
First, stamp the easel image from the Painter’s Palette stamp set twice onto a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock with Soft Suede ink. Next, use the Big Shot with the Layering Squares Framelits to die cut the frame. Use your Paper Snips to hand cut the easel legs and top.
Stamp the sentiment from the Crafting Forever stamp set in Rose Red ink onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock. Use Lemon Lime Twist and Sweet Sugarplum ink pads to stamp the dots and brushstroke images around the sentiment. Next, use the next smaller square framelit, and die cut the image to fit inside the picture frame. Attach the die cut sentiment inside the frame, with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
On a 3 3/4″ x 4 3/4″ panel of Whisper White, stamp more brushstroke and splatter images in Lemon Lime Twist and Rose Red ink. Attach the frame over top of them with Dimensionals, then glue the easel top and frames just underneath, with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Finally, finish off the front panel by adding some (retired) Sweet Sugarplum ribbon on each side of the easel, with Mini Glue Dots.
Now attach your image panel to a Sweet Sugarplum cardstock panel, then to a card base of Rose Red cardstock.

ORDER YOUR SUPPLIES
Not only is the Painter’s Palette stamp set retiring, but so is the Sweet Sugarplum In Color and Rose Red. If you want any of the Retiring Products, be sure to shop soon, before they’re all gone! Click on the product images below to shop in my online store. The good news is that the Crafting Forever stamp set is carrying over, as are the rest of the products I used.
I love this card, Deborah. The colors you used are great together!
Thanks, Susan! 🙂
Great card, Deborah – and I love the sketch! Ah, Rose Red…I’m going to miss that one, especially with Perfect Plum and Elegant Eggplant. (I just need a moment to remind myself about Highland Heather, Merry Merlot, and Gorgeous Grape. Ok – I’m fine now.) 😉
You should join in the challenge, Buffy! I’m glad you like my card. I really under-used Rose Red; now I’m scrambling! 🙂 But as you said – lots of gorgeous new colours are on their way.
