PAPER CRAFT CREW SKETCH CHALLENGE PCC332
Hello, stamping friend! It’s Wednesday, and that means challenge time! The Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge PCC332 is what’s on tap today – I do hope you’ll join us!
The sketch is your starting point. You can turn it sideways or upside down; you can change the shapes to what works for your design. As long as the basic sketch is recognizable, you’re good to go! So choose your stamps, papers and inks – and let’s get creative!
TIME TO PARTY!
For my card, I went through my (quite sizable) stash, and pulled out some old favourites from my Stampin’ Up! days. The fun bright colours & theme of the paper were perfect for a birthday card.
The paper and the stamp set are from the retired Picture Perfect Birthday suite of products. Actually, I think the stamp set is still available, but the paper and embellishments are retired.
Once I decided on the paper to use, this card came together very quickly! On the panel of Melon Mambo (bright pink) cardstock, I stamped the confetti & streamers image stamp in the same colour of ink, behind where the focal images go. Then, I cut the layers of cardstock and patterned paper. I layered Bermuda Bay cardstock behind the paper, and also used it as as a card base.
The sentiment from the Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set is on white cardstock, in Bermuda Bay ink. I used a banner die from my stash to die cut the sentiment, as well as another from cardstock to layer behind it.
After I layer all the pieces together with foam tape, I chose a confetti pattern of the same paper, and cut some strips. I fringed the ends, and tucked them in behind the sentiment banner. Finally, I finished off the front with some bright sequins, also from my SU! stash.
The picture above, shows the party going on in the focal area. Doesn’t that look like fun!? I almost forgot – before layering everything together, I added some more confetti images, onto the sentiment banner.
