Hello Stamping Friends!

Thanks to my wonderful friends and customers for your generosity!!  Last night we had such fun, and raised $153.60 for the B.C. SPCA!  Woohooo!  This amount doesn't include donations I've received from my online page –  I still have my online donation page open until April 28th, so if you weren't able to attend my event last night but would like to donate, you can click this link http://support.spca.bc.ca/site/TR/Events/GeneralDonationWrapper?pxfid=18081&fr_id=1570&pg=fund   Trust me, every donation counts, and is very much appreciated!

I wanted to share here the projects that were made, and the fun we had 🙂

We made a coordinating set of a card, tag and bag for a Birthday celebration!  I just love the Banner Framelits, Perfect Pennants stamp set and the Another Great Year stamp set, as well.  The candles on the card were made by rolling strips of Birthday Basic DSP around a skewer, taping closed with Sticky Tape, and then when you peel off the backing, they stick perfectly to the card front!

This cute bunny tag is made using the new Tag Topper Scallop Punch, the (retired) Chocolate Bunny stamp, Petite Petals stamp set & coordinating Punch, and the grass is cardstock cut with the Fringed Scissors.  The Fringed Scissors (which I love – can you tell?!) were put to good use again on the gift bag.  I made punch art bunnies using the Oval and Circle punches for the body, and the (retired) Blossom Petal punch for the ears.  Bunny's tail is a cute little flower from the Holiday Occasions catalogue, dusted with a bit of Blushing Bride classic ink.

I saw this card over on Glenda Caulkin's blog – www.thestampcamp.com and fell in love with it! So much, that I didn't change a thing, except for maybe the DSP choice and the ribbon used.  The bunny is from the set Eggstra Spectacular, and to be honest – it's the reason I bought the set! 🙂

Here are Debbie, Amanda and Alex, having fun creating their Birthday gift bags 🙂

This tag is a version of the one I did for the guests at my Open House back in January; everyone commented on how much they loved it, so I thought they wouldn't mind making one for themselves!  This time we used Pool Party cardstock cut with the Apothecary Accents Framelits for the tag base.  The Spiral Flower Die was used with Primrose Petals and Blushing Bride card stock, and the small flowers are from the Petite Petals stamp set and punched out with the coordinating punch.  The sentiment 'For You' is stamped in Primrose Petals ink, from the Layered Labels stamp set, and cut using the Apothecary Accents Framelits.  Finishing it off is the 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon in Primrose Petals.

Here you can see Karen, Christine and Alex sharing a laugh while keeping busy with their projects 🙂

Almost everyone who attended the event has their own pets, or knows someone with pets – so of course I had to send them home with something for their furry friends!  I made punch art puppies using Circle punches and the (retired) Blossom Builder punch, and stamped the Cat using the (retired) C is for Cat stamp set.

Along with the refreshments during the event, I couldn't send my friends of the Animals home empty handed – so I decorated some mini coffee cups and filled them with – what else – chocolate!!

Thank you again, my friends, for your generous support of the animals in need!  Helping one animal may not change the world, but it will certainly change the world of that one animal!

Shadow (our 11 year old Black Lab) says 'Thank You' too – and he loves it when you come to visit his Mum & do crafts!

Until next time – Happy Stamping!  And give your fur-baby a hug for us!

I've always liked to create things, but I'm not a great artist, or sculptor, or any type of 'traditional' artist - but I love to create! I love the satisfaction of a completed project. Whether a card, painting or other project - as long as it can create a smile, evoke a feeling, or some type of reaction in the recipient. I hope you will enjoy sharing my creations, and occasional ramblings; I'd enjoy having you create with me! :)
