PCC277 SKETCH CHALLENGE

It’s time to join the Paper Craft Crew again with a new sketch challenge! This fun sketch allows you to choose 2 large shapes for your focal area; you don’t have to use hearts as shown, but you can!

I decided to use one of my favourite stamp sets from the Annual catalogue, Coffee Cafe.

PERK UP!

PCC277 Sketch Challenge

I think maybe I used this suite of products because I’m very sleep deprived today! And everyone who knows me, knows I love coffee! 🙂

DETAILS

There’s actually an entire Coffee Break Suite of products that all coordinate; I used several pieces in this card! First, on the Whisper White panel I used the Timeless Textures stamp set for the splashes and cup rings, stamped in Soft Suede and Crumb Cake ink. Next, I added some coffee beans in Soft Suede ink from the Coffee Cafe stamp set.

The patterned paper is two patterns in the Coffee Break Designer Series Paper. After layering the DSP onto the stamped panel, wrap a length of Linen Thread two times around the middle, and attach at the back with Tear & Tape. Cut a strip of Pear Pizzazz cardstock, and use Paper Snips to create banner tails on both ends. Use a Sponge Dauber and Old Olive ink to sponge all around the edges, then attach it on top of the Linen Thread with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Add the heart shaped Corrugated Elements to the right hand side, and glue on a bow of Linen Thread.

For the small coffee cups, I used the retired Merry Cafe stamp set from the Holiday catalogue. Stamped in Pool Party ink onto Whisper White, then die cut with the Big Shot and Coffee Cups Framelits. Finally, attach the cups to the top right and bottom left of the DSP panels.

All of the layers add lots of fun to this card!

INSIDE SENTIMENT

I thought this would be a great card to give a coffee loving friend, so I stamped this sentiment on the inside.

The sentiment is stamped in Pear Pizzazz ink, and the coffee rings and splashes stamped in Crumb Cake ink.  I think they’re fun elements, but honestly – I don’t think I’ve ever been so messy when I drink my coffee!

I've always liked to create things, but I'm not a great artist, or sculptor, or any type of 'traditional' artist - but I love to create! I love the satisfaction of a completed project. Whether a card, painting or other project - as long as it can create a smile, evoke a feeling, or some type of reaction in the recipient. I hope you will enjoy sharing my creations, and occasional ramblings; I'd enjoy having you create with me! :)
