Welcome back to another sketch challenge with the Paper Craft Crew!

Paper Craft Crew DT Badge

We have a great sketch to work with this week – have a look:

I just loved the look of this layout, and immediately got to work:

I was trying to figure out what paper to use, and decided to use some of the retired Flashback Designer Series Paper.  I liked the images of the cameras in the one print, so of course that lead me to choosing the camera image from the Traveler stamp set as my focal image.

I chose to use a Real Red cardstock for my card base, and used the simple black & very vanilla grid pattern for my next layer.  I stamped the splatter pattern using the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set onto Very Vanilla cardstock, layered the camera image DSP left of centre on that, and glued those to my card base.

I stamped the camera image from Traveler in Memento Black ink onto Very Vanilla cardstock, and used the new Tags & Labels Framelits to die cut it and the coordinating background Real Red cardstock label.  The sentiment is from the stamp set Something to Say, inked in Memento Black ink onto Very Vanilla cardstock, and punched using the retired Modern Label Punch.  All of the layered pieces were edged with Smoky Slate ink using a Sponge Dauber, before being layered together.

Three Candy Dots in Real Red complete this card, which I think would be great for a photographer enthusiast, or a ‘guy’ card.

Please head over to the Paper Craft Crew page to see the cards the rest of the design team have created for your inspiration!  I hope that you’ll be inspired to create your own card, and join in our challenge!

Until next time – happy stamping!

I've always liked to create things, but I'm not a great artist, or sculptor, or any type of 'traditional' artist - but I love to create! I love the satisfaction of a completed project. Whether a card, painting or other project - as long as it can create a smile, evoke a feeling, or some type of reaction in the recipient. I hope you will enjoy sharing my creations, and occasional ramblings; I'd enjoy having you create with me! :)

I love to read what you have to say! Thanks for commenting ;)
