Paper Craft Crew DT Badge

Welcome back, my friend, to another challenge with the Paper Craft Crew!

I’m so glad you could make it; I hope that you enjoy this week’s challenge, and will join us with your own project!

Here is the sketch you’ll be working from:

Here is my take on the sketch:

PCCCS170 Flower Shop

I think I stayed pretty true to the sketch this time, didn’t I?!  I thought I would take a break from Christmas cards, and make a nice birthday card.

I started with a card base of Watermelon Wonder cardstock, layered with Smoky Slate.  On a piece of Whisper White cardstock, I used my Aqua painter and the Mint Macaron ink to wash some of the colour across the background, then added the splotches of Watermelon Wonder ink using the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set.

I then added 2 banners in Watermelon Wonder and Smoky Slate, made using the Banner Triple Punch.  I then stamped the flower image from the Flower Shop stamp set twice in Mint Macaron, then used the coordinating Pansy Punch to cut them out.  I layered the flowers on top of each other, using the Bone Folder to curl the petals slightly (hard to see in the picture).  I added a few loops of Silver Cording Trim under a Vintage Faceted Button, and attached them to the flower using Glue Dots.  The sentiment is from the Flower Patch set, stamped in Watermelon Wonder.

A lovely, simple card, that was quick & easy to do – thanks to having the sketch from which to work!

Please go take a look at the Paper Craft Crew page to see the other terrific cards the rest of the design team have made for your inspiration – then go ahead and create your card, and enter the challenge!  I’ll be looking for you!

Until next time – happy stamping!

I've always liked to create things, but I'm not a great artist, or sculptor, or any type of 'traditional' artist - but I love to create! I love the satisfaction of a completed project. Whether a card, painting or other project - as long as it can create a smile, evoke a feeling, or some type of reaction in the recipient. I hope you will enjoy sharing my creations, and occasional ramblings; I'd enjoy having you create with me! :)

I love to read what you have to say! Thanks for commenting ;)
