Hello Stampin' Friends!

I wanted to share with you the fun I had last night!  All good clean fun, don't worry!

As you know, if you've been following my posts, I did several craft fairs over the winter holidays.  At one of the fairs, I donated a door prize, which included some hand-made items, and a free card class.  Well, the winner of the door prize contacted me, and after settling on the date & time, I go ready preparing for the class.

Last night was the class, and I'd like to say what a great time I had with the hostess, Pam P. and  her friends!  What a great group of ladies!  They all declared themselves as 'novices' at stamping and crafting, but let me tell you – these ladies rocked their card making!!

Part of being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator is helping people unleash their inner creative powers – and it is so fun and inspiring to watch it happen!

For a private class, I provide all the necessary materials, adhesives, embellishments, etc, as well as sample cards and instructions (written an my verbal guideance) for each member to recreate what's in front of them.  However, I always encourage the participants to change up whatever elements of the project that they want – the ink colour, the layout, the focal stamp; and it was great to see that happen last night 🙂

So I thought I'd share with you my sample cards and instructions that I provided.

I would love to see your take on my cards!

In fact, I have 3 extra kits of each design, so if you are 1 of the first 6 people to comment on this post, I will mail one to you, so you can make your own card, and email in your creation, which I will then share here, on my blog! (that means that 6 people will receive 1 kit each.  due to Stampin' Up! regulations, I am not allowed to include pre-stamped images, so you will have to provide your own stamp(s) and ink – more opportunity for your creativity!)

Once you've left your comment, I will send you an email to ask for your mailing address – so keep an eye out for an email from debsmart@shaw.ca

If you'd like to purchase your own supplies for making these cards, you may either contact me directly (604.298.0472 or debsmart@shaw.ca) and I will place your order for you, or you can click on the "Order Now" button on the right side of the screen, to be taken directly to my online store.

Make sure you visit here again tomorrow – I'm going to be sharing the cool prizes I gave away at last night's class!  More instructions, too!

Until then – Happy Stampin'!

I've always liked to create things, but I'm not a great artist, or sculptor, or any type of 'traditional' artist - but I love to create! I love the satisfaction of a completed project. Whether a card, painting or other project - as long as it can create a smile, evoke a feeling, or some type of reaction in the recipient. I hope you will enjoy sharing my creations, and occasional ramblings; I'd enjoy having you create with me! :)
